  1. The Book's response is 20. But according to them 20 people could have finished the task in 12 days. My answer was 25 people could finish the task in 12 days and 20 people can finish it is 15 days. It is a simple question, but I guess the answer in the book confused me.
  2. Hi, This is a very simple question, but one specific book has confused me with the solution, I would appreciate if anyone of you could help me. A group of workers can do a peice of work in 12 days. However, as 5 of them were absent it took 15 days to complete the work. How many people actually worked on the job to complete it.? Please post the solution too. Thanks.

  5. Hi , I m taking my GMAT for the second time and I m not sure whether we should be getting a different set of Power Prep(free test by GMAC) on registering for the exam. I already registered for the exam and when I downloaded the exam form the mba.com website, all I got was the same set of papers(with the status 'unfinished').   6. U said that there should be total of n*n ppl.. dont you think it should be (n*n) + n. Suppose Mary persuaded 5 ppl and each of these 5 ppl persuaded 5 more ppl. Then total should be 5*5 + 5. Please correct me if I m on wrong lines...

  8. Dont you think it the width of the strip should be 1.5 instead of 3. 3 is the total width. and since it is uniform around the tile, thus it should be 1.5
  9. Hi, I appeared for GMAT and got 660 :(. I am not happy with my score and want to reappear again. Before I do so, I want to know that univerties prefer which score? Charu you can also look the stem, The tens digit of k + 9 is 3 as 10's digit of K + 9 = 3 , then 10's digit of K is 4 Thus sufficient 2nd stat: 10s digit of K + 4 is 2 Which means 10s digit of k + 4 = 2 i.e. 10s digit of K is 8 Thus sufficient MAybe the question stem is not grammatically written :)
