  3. Hey Tino, Do we get a social security number while we are on F1 visa? mak.
  4. Hey Toni, With reference to a article in the newspaper, it seems that there is high shortage of H1 B visas. I read on previous threads that MBA students have a quota of 20000 H1 B visa every year, my question is whether the 20000 visa quota is included in the total 58200 or is it additional. What are (%) chances that we do not get a H1 b visa while on OPT Mak.
  5. I appreciate your assistance Tino. Thanks Mak.
  6. Hi Tino, I had few doubts about my visa status, i would appreciate if you could assist me on these. 1) I have a 10 year valid B1/B2 visa, I plan to enroll in a one year MBA programe, i would like to know what is the procedure to transfer my visa from B1 to F1, OR is it that i have to apply for a fresh F1 visa. 2) Once i get my F1 visa, what happens to my B1 visa, would that be canceled 3) After my completion of my course do i have to apply once again for my B1 visa. 4) I am an Indian national but currently work in Kuwait, is there any restriction on us to apply for F1 visa from any other country other than from your country of origin? ( i got my B1 visa from Kuwait) Saiman Mak
  7. Hi , If anyone can help me with this, Iam planning to do my EMBA from US, most of the Uni have weekend classes, so will the US embassy give me a visa to study a EMBA when i dont have a job in US.
  8. I cant thank you enough for the quick response GMATbong. okay I will email the universities and ask them. However I was thinking of getting a loan or applying for a scholarhip or fellowship for my MBA. so if I am "self sponsoring", can i still apply for acholarship/fellowship? Another concern. Most EMBAs have classes only twice a week. whereas I feel that I need to be back in school full time! Is my age a really big problem in getting the admission in FTMBA?Also my aim is top 10 B schools Thanks a ton, please advice
  9. Thanks GMATbong. I was considering EMBA too but most universities require you to have a corporate sponsorship to be eligible for EMBA. Any advice? Thanks a lot
