  1. Hello all those who have been great help to me during my application process!! I am glad to announce that I got 2 admits for Full-Time MBA- 1. Illinois Institute of Technology-Stuart School of Business. 2. Temple University-Fox school of Business. Also I am hoping to get a positive decision from UIC and Bowling green state university in few days. Once again I require you help in deciding the better school to enroll in. The curriculum of all the 4 schools suite me equally. So please help me in deciding which school would be best to get in among the 4 mentioned below- 1. Illinois Institute of Technology-Stuart School of Business. 2. Temple University-Fox school of Business. 3. University of Illinois, Chicago. 4. Bowling Green State University.
  2. Hello GMATbong, May I ask WHY an MBA curriculum would'nt help me run a family business or help me get better connections. I guess Specializations in Entreprenuership, Production Mgmt, Strategic planning etc. would be ideal for me to achieve my goal( growing family business further ofcourse)! Also its better to be an MBA and take charge of my family business than not to be an MBA and run it, isn't it?? Please tell me if I am wrong or share yours views on it! Regards, Swapnil
  3. Hello GMATbong!! Actually their are some family crises man!! Plz try to understand!! This is the only point in my career I can Do an MBA!! There are some reasons!! Buddy I didnt get your classification!! plz if you can calssify my colleges into safe/mod/ambi for me Tnx again Swapnil

  8. Thankyou all!! The point is I have already applied to the above colleges. And would really appreciate is someone could classify my colleges for me!! I am also willing to work for some years. But due to some family concerns I will not be able to do it. I have to take charge of my family business as soon as possible. I hope you understand my problem. I am ready to do an MBA in any of the colleges in my list. Can you please be kind enough and classify my colleges for me? That would be of great help. I m worried coz I have no back up . If i dont get an admit now I wont be able to do MBA later. Thank you & Regards Swapnil
  9. I didnt clearly get you GMATbong! Do you mean I should have a considerable experience before getting into a B-school? Actually as I said I am from a family business background and want to return to India immediately after MBA! Got no time to to work for two years and then go for MBA! Thus I got some low ranked colleges in my list! What I want to ask is how good are my chances in getting into these colleges? I got no other option but to apply at this point in my career! Plz help!:(
  10. what was his profile and which all schools did he apply!! have you checked my profile ?? do I have achance in any school?
  11. Tnx GMATbong!! Waiting for more replies!! Can anyone classify my colleges in safe/mod/ambi for me plz??
  12. Hey sorry if my post is long, but I have to give all the details so that you can comment properly I got a 650 in my GMAT, GPA is 3.5, and got a dad’s business where I worked part time during grad (it’s a pretty big business). An overall good record. My problem is that I have no post grad work-ex. How good are my chances of getting in a good B-School for a Full Time MBA in USA? As I said earlier I am from a business family. The business has all the management dept. like Finance, procurement, marketing, HR etc. I do work part time in my factory and full time during my vacations. So with this entire background do I have a chance of getting in any of the mentioned colleges? I have already applied to following schools and I am very worried about not getting an admit from any of the colleges (Please classify colleges in safe/mod/ambi) :- SUNY Buffalo Univ. of Georgia Indiana Univ. Bloomington George Washington Univ. Boston College Purdue Univ. West Lafayette Illinois Institute of Technology Bowling Green State Univ. University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Univ. of Illinois Chicago Temple Univ. Which schools do I have a chance of getting into? I have heard that there is some percent of the students of the class in some colleges like Temple or George Washington who have no work-ex. I also have some mediocre schools like IIT and some low ranked colleges like Bowling green state University in my list. Can you please comment on these things? Actually I want to get back to India as soon as possible to take charge of my family business. Thus I want to complete my MBA as soon as possible. If I take a gap and join my business, it will be difficult for me to take a study leave then. Also I don’t think I will use the school's placement services as I will return soon after completion of my course. About the tough time I will face during my course, cant do anything, I have to cope up and I am ready to face it. Also in the vacations of my engineering course I will work full time in my business to get a hang of some fields of Management. I have written all this in my SOP also. Do you think these things will help? Also are there any people that you know who have got an admit from some B-School without work-ex. I would be deeply obliged if you could reply as soon as possible. Thank you & Regards, Swapnil
