I faced similar problems as well. My test center was Brooklyn, NY I started the reading section and the testing system broke down 5 times before I decided not to take the test anymore. I hope ETS schedhules sometime very soon else a lot of students are going to miss their application deadlines.

GMATbong, I ended up re-taking, scored 720(50, 35) & AWA 5.5 How will the schools look upon this score?

I solved 1 - 2 They don't have GMAT hard bin questions. Good practice though.

No Verbal quality is not great and most of the questions are repeated from OG/SETS.

Little harder than OG hard bin, similar to GMATPrep

No I didn't get any such SC But note that it may be a hard bin question which I didn't face.

Getting Started: started preps in October last year, on and off prep for about 2 months. Testmagic was a good starting point, reading inspiring debriefs - Twinsplitter, Clintonn, Razind, CTG, MikeJung, Check.stone always kept me motivated.Attempted GMAT Prep I in January (before OG) and ended up scoring 680, verbal was my weak point which stayed till the end and I am still surprised with the low score this time. Appeared for the GMAT in March (you can see the score in the title) after 4 months of preparation. As you can see verbal is my nemesis, so cant help you guys much with that. Practice Scores: GPrep 1 680 (Jan 07) GPrep 2 710 (March 07) Later on I repeated GPREP and ended up with 760, 780 and so on. MGMAT 6: 730 MGMAT 5: 690 MGMAT 4 :750 SETS ( Verbal averaging about 8-12 mistakes for sets 21-31) Test Day: AWA: Regulation stuff - made a template of important sentences, words. Spend sometime practicing AWA, you don't want to have a bad start to the test. Utilized the break, few sips of Gatorade and a bite of energy bar. IMO break time is sufficient (atleast in the test centers in the US) Quant: Started with a toughie but managed to solve the initial questions, difficulty rose after 8th question and suddenly dropped towards the middle and rose back in the last 4 questions. In my opinion, experimental questions will appear in the middle of the test. They cannot appear in the beginning (as the software needs to determine your level) and also towards the end(you can't test the experimental questions as most of us end up guessing towards the end). So speed up in the middle of the test 1) Scoretop VIP questions - MUST 2) GPREP 150 questions - MUST 3) MGMAT tests are good for practice 4) Watch out for DS traps, specially if you want to score 50+. When you think C its A/B and when you think E its C, thats what can drive you nuts. Utilized the break More Gatorade and energy bar Verbal: This section was much easier than I expected and I know the reason why. I never saw a tough question in Verbal and that scared me, I kept solving questions without thinking of my performance. Ended up scoring 35, and pretty disappointed with the performance. SC/CR's were ok. LSAT CR's are helpful but they are not of GMAT kind. OG is a good practice for SC - Manthattan is MUST, OG10/OG 11 and SETS, ETS tests for RC- I think this is where I failed the most, 1000 RC's are ok but you wont find any explanation. OG is a good practice as it explains answer choices. Again I believe that experimental questions appear in the middle, not in the first 8 or last 5. So avoid guessing towards the end as it can hurt your score. Finally, staying cool during the test is very very important, my energy levels did not drop towards the end, although did loose some concentration. Sleep well not just before the day of exam but atleast one week prior to the test. Thats all from me guys, I know its not a great score as I could improve by only 20 points.
