  4. Hi thinker77, I have been through the interview few days back. It lasted about half an hour and I was asked some basic questions like, why MBA, why Haas, about job experience etc. The results for the second round applicants will be sent out around June 1st. Could you share your GMAT score, gpa, work experience etc? - Manish
  5. Hi PTMBA, Could you please tell something about your interview at Haas? What kind of questions they asked? How long did it go etc? - Manish
  6. Has anyone appeared for Haas interview yet? Can someone explained what kind of questions are asked in interview? I have applied for Haas part time MBA. - Manish
  7. Here it is. It's kind of little difficult to explain, since it involves 3-D trianges. Let us assume plane currently is at position A. Point on ground just below A, is B and point of current landing is C. So, we have AB=6 and BC=8. This gives us the total distance to be covered by plane, AC = 10 (ABC is a right angle triangle). We also know that plane has to cover this distance in 3 minutes. So current velocity of the plane = 10/3 miles/min. Let us assume D is the new point where plane is supposed to land. and we know CD = 15. This gives us BD^2 = 289 (BCD is right angle triangle). Note that AD is the new distance plane is going to follow. So, AD = (325)^1/2 (ABD is right angle triangle). So difference in speed = ((325)^1/2 - 10)/3 miles/min. This gives us answer C. - Manish
  8. I saw this problem on Manhattan GMAT website. My anser is C (100^1/3 - 200). - Manish
  9. My fault. Usually I write the source of question. Anyway, answer is B and it's on Manhattan website. - Manish
  10. (p^a)(q^b)(r^c)(s^d) = x, where x is a perfect square. If p, q, r, and s are prime integers, are they distinct? (1) 18 is a factor of ab and cd (2) 4 is not a factor of ab and cd - Manish
  11. You can go through the Power Prep software. It has got few math lessons. - Manish - Manish
  12. Damaged Dough Jim went to the bakery to buy donuts for his office mates. He chose a quantity of similar donuts, for which he was charged a total of $15. As the donuts were being boxed, Jim noticed that a few of them were slightly ragged-looking so he complained to the clerk. The clerk immediately apologized and then gave Jim 3 extra donuts for free to make up for the damaged goods. As Jim left the shop, he realized that due to the addition of the 3 free donuts, the effective price of the donuts was reduced by $2 per dozen. How many donuts did Jim receive in the end? (A) 18 (B) 21 © 24 (D) 28 (E) 33 I came up with the answer A - 18. - Manish
  13. I am not sure how much you can do in three days, but you can take practice tests from Cambridge GMAT and crack-gmat.com CDs. - Manish
  14. Thanks. I corrected it in the original post. - Manish
