Dear all, well this is my first post as an MBA student (this is my first semster)i put before many posts on this forum but this when i was seeking a good score on the GMAT test,and needless to say that Testmagic helped me a lot. Thus, i back again with full hope to get help on my MBA assignments and exams,actually on my course on "Managing Organizations" we took one of HBS case studies "Rob Parson at Morgan Stanley".and my problem is that this kind of questions is totally new for me , thus i don't know how to tackle the question, how to answer, what to put(theory or imprical examples. if anyone has an idea to help me on this, he/she is most welcomed.

Dear NoGMATno cry, yes u can make it,GmatPrep is such a tool that can help u enhance ur score,uninstall then reinstall it several times and do it,and for overcoming the repeated questions problem(this will appear after the 3rd re-installation,try 2 answer them wrongly even if u know the right answer from ur previous answers review),and believe me with GMATprep,and the OG11th addition(especially SC(try 2 do this section after reviewing Manhatten SC,it's an amazing guide&CR) u'll be able to tackle most of the verbal question in ur real GMAT exam). try 2 take it as many times as u can,categorization is the most important thing try 2 categorize which kind of questions have u answered correctly(PS,DS,SC,RC,CR) count the correct and the incorrect ones).u'll see how ur performance level will be changed in each category. A final say on this,"don't wait for a miracle 2 be happened,make ur own one".:tup: Good luck.

My tests in chronological order: - Powerprep(1): 400 - Powerprep(2):430 Real GMAt (1st attempt)430(25-12-2006) - Princetone(online version):490 - GMAT prep(test1):460 - GMAT prep(test2):480 - Crack GMAt:415(they said 2 make it equivilant to the real GMAT u should add 100 points) - GMAT prep(test1)(after reinstalling):530 - GMAT prep(test 2):520 - Powerprep(test2):610 Powerprep (test 1):500 - Real GMAT(2nd attempt):580(25-1-2007) i guess i got an average for all my trials after the 1st real attempt.

Really,r u intending to visit Egypt, believe me u won't regret,and i won't be exaggerate if i said that u have to visit Egypt(not only coz it's my country, but also coz it has the Pyramids(as u must hear about)just drop me a line when u plan 2 come at least to pay back some of ur GMAT favors.

Rajna:am an egyptian, targetting the American Univerity in Cairo(the capital of my country Egypt) which requires 500 as an admission requirement.i have 7 years of experience of working as an economic Researcher. yes MikeJung thaxs for replying to my thread because u remind me of ur golden advice to me when i wrote asking how to raise my score from 430.....i still remember ur words " and do GMATpreps ona daily basis. i would do twice a day if i could. " it helped me a lot i did GMAT preps on daily basis and sometimes more than one time per day but after the fifth time questions became repeated and my score getting higher which made me stop taking Gprep at certain point but i follow ur instructions and check teh forum daily for problem solving once again, sorry for forgetting mention ur name among those i thanked for their kind assisstance,u were the first one to help thanxs a million

sorry , the correct title should be from 430 to 580(my first score was 430 not 490) Folks, i made it i have just retrurned from the test center i got 580 (40Q,V30)i know this score considered nothing comparing with those great scores people submit on this forum.However,i was targetting 500.but thanxs to GOD first then to this amazing website,i couldn't make it without this ultimate source of GMAT material. my First attempt took place one month ago and i got 430 i was very disappointed i didn't know what to do,then i decided to retake the exam on the 4th of this Month (prepared for about 21 days). Clinton:Thanxs for the resources that u have loaded here,it's a fortune" as i said before u r the GMAT God father". ISV: for tolerating me and clarifying the silly math problems for me. Xi-gua: for wishing me good luck. Some fresh memories from the test(i didn't want to postpone till writting my debrief for fear of forgetting) AWA: one argument about the "working at home" methodology for a certain company and how it can increase productivity and profits. the issue was a bout environmental responsibility whethere to be on governments or on individuals. Quantitive: most of the problems were similar to those in the GMATprep. Verbal: 4 Rc:one about informal economy,one about gegraphical locations for stock market company,one about women rights during the renaissance era i got one bold face CR and alot of CRs about smoking. this is what i remember right now, am goling 2 write my detailed debrief within 2 days.

but the answer is 2^8 not 2^9...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the residents of town x participated in asurvey to determine teh number of hours per week. each resident spect watching T.V the distribution of the results of the survey had a mean of 21 ours and a standard deviation of 6 hours.the number of hours that Pat,aresident of town X,watched T.V last week was between 1 and 2 standard deviation below the mean. what is the number of hours that Pat watched T.V last week? Answer:(12) can any one provide me with a detailed,simple and understood solution?

am glad to hear that u got 490 before even in a trial test. what i would do if i were u is do aall the qs in OG as fast as u can, thanxs for the advice,it really helps me 2 dewcide whether 2 retake the exam or not, yes i know that i have a very limited chance at anywhere with 430(the university am aiming to joing requires 500).but doing the GMAT prep many times will result in repeating the questations to which i get exposed?!!! once again thanxs for the precious advice especially from an expert like u(with regard to ur score).
