Hi sahil, Sure,I would hep u in ur preparation process. I had 4 months of preparation for GRE. My preparation guides includes:-- Verbal:I studied Barron's word list for a month and kept practicing till a day before exam.Besides learning words,I kept reading novels,NY times,Washington post and Msnbc to improve reading and to see the learnt words in the context.We need to focus right on Barron's words to get good verbal score.Keep revising word list till u finish all the barrons in 2-3 hrs while u revise. Next,read Kaplan word list,try to gather words from ur reading too and get printout of it.I can send u some words if u like me to sent. Now come practice.:-Start practicing kaplan verbal book,big book,then u can go to online practice once u r confident of word list and antonyms,SC,RC,analogy(still in doubt).Go to vyomworld.com/gre, etc. U can check sites online or from this test magic forum. Keep practicing analogies a lot.But don't forget other sections. Best book for verbal i felt is Big book,kaplan verbal book. Again read as much as u can.Keep revising word list at least 3 a week. As u know we need to recall the meaning and find the answer in verbal section. U have to be real fast in recollecting words. Don't forget to do Power prep.It would be good to practice,but i felt it to be easy.The real xam would be tougher in comparision to power prep. Quant:No need to mention,as u r an engineer.U have to say quant as easy subject. Anyways,I just kept practicing whatever problems I got online,also big book,kaplan,barrons.U can check purple math.com for revision. I also did Gmat book for math and also for reading passages in verbal. U can go to number2.com too for GRE.I have practiced on that site too. Just keep googling and try new kind of problems.Just calculate without mistakes,u can achieve 800 also. Awa:As iam from India,i was desperate to improve my english. I kept practicing essays.I used to write an essay on a regular basis. I finished my GRE yesterday.I scored v(660),Q(790) and AW-----?? One thing i can say is Test magic can make GRE ,especially verbal part very easy.Will let u the details of my preparation later.

There are 20 possible subjects, but you only had time to prepare for 15. If two subjects are given, what chances do you have to be familiar with both? Can any one answer this question?It's an interview question,so don't have the right answer? Expalin ur answers?

I suggest u to go through kaplan's book for roots,once u complete barrons word list.I have finished barrons and then looked at kaplans book for word list.To learn barrons word list,just see the examples given along with word and try to remember.Those examples are easy to remember and keep revising the word list.I found this method very effective and easy to memorize words.Later on u can practice by doing antonyms and analogies.Also,read word list by Norman lewis.I suggest u to read this book at the very first of ur preparation.This has excellent roots and prefixes.I hope u can learn this book in 15 days which will surely benefit ur score.All the best.When r u giving ur GRE?I suggested u all these methods as i have learned almost every crucial word of GRE verbal.Also,iam very much confident with my word list even after 6 months of my learning.Keep reading articles too and note down the unknown words.
