Don't Panic for the exam.You all will get good scores no doubt!!!i bet u from all our experiences.Just master the shragil, cram up as many times as u can before going to the exam for pharmaceutics,drugs and their sideffects,uses in CVS,ANS,CNS,cancer,Antiinflamatory agents,toxicology if you have kaplan-pharmacolgy would be really a peace of cake for you.You believe it or not these are the books we followed for the exam,
shragill-pharmaceutics all the chapters,biochemistry,immunology little bit about the b-cells,t-cells their lifespan,etc.,deiseas like-CARDIO,CNS-SEIZURES,PARKINSON,DEPRESSION,HYPERTENSION,ANS-Hyper tension;important drugs(S.E,USES,M.ACTION), just basic idea of etiology and pathophysiology of each disease.Clinical laboratory values-HB,rbc,wbc,glucose,enzymes like CREATININE-all
KINASEs,TROPONIN,ETC.,and each of their role in diseases.
Medicinal chemistry-just focus on the structures in
endocrine system-all harmones,all antibiotics like
streptomycin,gentamycin,tetracyline,penicllin,cephalosproins etc.,a
KAPLAN-90% COVERED ALL THE drugs in CNS,ANS,ANTI-INFLAMMATORY,endocrine system,anti-cancer,immunoglobulins,(we did pretty much every thing right in pharmacology in the exam)
APHA-REVIEW -leon shargill-herbal drugs(chart),management,pharmacoeconomics etc.,
the management paper will be in the afternoon,some questions will be from shargil if you study and remember the basic things in management for some you have to analyse and answer
them like
if a pateint who drives a school bus comes to you what you would do as a pharmacist
1.you reveal his confidentialty
2.you avoid him because he has seizures
3.you counsel him not to drive bus
4.you tell fellow pharmacist to counsel him
