hi!!I was wondering if MA is still accepting fpgee with out passing toefl,could you tell me whom to contact.

does ny 1 got the news from the NABP about the task force...i think they are scheduled to meet yesterday n today...ny news with the nabp about ny changes in toefl ibt requirements

Hi!!FOLKs!! i think all of you read the postings in the forums about the task force review on toefl ibt requirements on oct 25,26.I am little worried what the solution or alternative that they are gonna findout for toefl ibt.imagine what is the situation of all foreign pharmacists if they comeup with a new pharmacy practical exam as like pebc test in canada instead of taking tse ot toefl.thts going to be still terrible.

hello folk's, Don't Panic for the exam.You all will get good scores no doubt!!!i bet u from all our experiences.Just master the shragil, cram up as many times as u can before going to the exam for pharmaceutics,drugs and their sideffects,uses in CVS,ANS,CNS,cancer,Antiinflamatory agents,toxicology if you have kaplan-pharmacolgy would be really a peace of cake for you.You believe it or not these are the books we followed for the exam, shragill-pharmaceutics all the chapters,biochemistry,immunology little bit about the b-cells,t-cells their lifespan,etc.,deiseas like-CARDIO,CNS-SEIZURES,PARKINSON,DEPRESSION,HYPERTENSION,ANS-Hyper tension;important drugs(S.E,USES,M.ACTION), just basic idea of etiology and pathophysiology of each disease.Clinical laboratory values-HB,rbc,wbc,glucose,enzymes like CREATININE-all KINASEs,TROPONIN,ETC.,and each of their role in diseases. Medicinal chemistry-just focus on the structures in endocrine system-all harmones,all antibiotics like streptomycin,gentamycin,tetracyline,penicllin,cephalosproins etc.,a KAPLAN-90% COVERED ALL THE drugs in CNS,ANS,ANTI-INFLAMMATORY,endocrine system,anti-cancer,immunoglobulins,(we did pretty much every thing right in pharmacology in the exam) APHA-REVIEW -leon shargill-herbal drugs(chart),management,pharmacoeconomics etc., the management paper will be in the afternoon,some questions will be from shargil if you study and remember the basic things in management for some you have to analyse and answer them like if a pateint who drives a school bus comes to you what you would do as a pharmacist 1.you reveal his confidentialty 2.you avoid him because he has seizures 3.you counsel him not to drive bus 4.you tell fellow pharmacist to counsel him

Don't at all worry about how many attempts you make to pass the exam for guys who aren't successful. I would suggest you few tips to pass this exam according to my experience 1) follow KAPLAN notes of pharmacology, mug it bit by bit,(IT COVERS EVERY TOPIC IN PHARMACOLOGY and while studying each topic give a small reading about the diseases while you read diseases in KAPLAN), and throw a little focus on the medicinal chemistry structures,Pharmaceutics rest of the topics in shargil. KAPLAN is the ultimate book for this FPGEE based on my experience.

Folks, Still I have along way to go,I have taken the July 2007,FPGEE exam and waiting for the result.I came across this site and glad to see you all.I have a question that popped up in my mind. To apply for internship in the states like florida,that require SSN number.I was confused what's this SSN# might be?Because, as an f-1 student I'm not allowed to work off-campus unless I have a OPT. I have got an SSN# for working on campus on F-1 visa, is this the same one or different one?Perhaps, the other SSN# that I heard was for the H1B fellows ? If any one know's anything about this, please post you reply,it would be a great favor to me..
