I know this sounds like a dumb question . How do I access my score results . I don't need to know the actual score , just whether I passed. On my profile , it says att generated. Am I looking in the right place? thanx

Hi I would like to take the naplex around April . Please count me in as a study partner. Does everyone recommend rx prep text bk? Is APHA not enough?

You don't have to send pay stubs or proof.The preceptors signature is the proof they require.There is 1 thing I need to know.Once you submit all the assignments that are required at the end of the 500 hours and it is approved,do you then complete the balance of the hours and notify them that the 2080 are done ?Also,how many CE hours are acceptable?20,50,100?I tried asking the board but did not get any reply.

Hi Hala Did you get a foreign graduate work manual?Your preceptor should advise you on how she wants you to tackle the assignments.

Hi Pharmy I am so happy for you since I am in the same struggle of trying to find an intern post.I am prepared to work as a volunteer at this stage.How are you finding the job at this new place?Do they guide you? All of you are probably more confident than I am since I haven't worked in a pharmaceutical environment for the past 8 years.Are people generally helpful in the work place or do they expect you to know it all.I don't know whether to pursue internship or to just forget it and try something else.

Hi Little Sarah thanks.Target has a good system in place and a balanced number of staff so you are not over worked.You can get trained well because you are not rushed and under pressure like cvs or wal green.Team work is also very important at Target so most staff are helpful and friendly.

Hi Londoner 2009 Target does not take on foreign interns in Florida.I don't know about other states.I started with Target as an intern recruited and interviewed by a pharmacist at a particular store.Within 2 weeks he got fired for some reason.My employment fell away as they said that they are not interested in training a foreign grad for 2080 hours.It is not cost effective and that that pharmacist should have checked with head office before employing me.I worked there for a little longer as a tech at 13$ an hour but realised that it would get me nowhwere so I quit.If you can get in to a Target,it is the best company to work for.they do about 3 interviews but it is so worth it.I really felt bad that it didn't work out for me .

Is there anyone who has done a hospital internship?What is the experience like?Do you think that after hospital work,one would be better prepared for Naplex or doesn't it matter?

hi Hygeian Yes,Florida requieres 2080 hours.Ask your friend how many hours a week does he do with Walmart?Also,did he just walk in there and make contact?I have been calling the area recruiter and he has never returned the calls,mine and another graduate. By the way,I did not get a job that pays $5,I am working for free.I wish I could even get any pay at this point.

you people are lucky to get paid.Right now,if I get an intern job and they pay me $5 an hour,I will grab it.I am going to some hospital tomorrow to see if like it.It will take me 1hr 11 min to commute back and forth with 2 tolls and it will be voluntary.I predict that I will have to work for about 20 mths to cover my hours ,all at my expense.I can't believe it has come to this.After all the expense of the Fpgee,Toefl,etc,I still have to pay for 20 months of gas and tolls.Someone out there,please advise.By the way,I am in Florida.

I can't believe that you have got so far,it seems likeyou just started.It just goes to show that if you persevere like you did,everything can be done.That is quite encouraging.I still have not found any internship place.

Hi Rimini I know this has nothing to do with the topic but can you advise me on possible places to do my internship as i am in Fl and cannot find a post.

Please advise me on where can one do voluntary intern hours.When I asked around in Florida,I was told that you had to be in an intern post and that way you have to get paid.I am prepared to do intern hours without pay as I can't work the long hours that most chain stores require.

I started working as a tech.with the intention of doing my internship in a store.The pharmacist had told me that he would be my preceptor and that all my tech hours would most likely be included.I work a couple of hours a day so my inshernship was going to be a very long one so i was not concerned about pay.Shortly after i started,I noticed that that pharmacist was nowhere around and everyday there is a new floater.It turned out that he left or got fired,nobody is speaking about it.Now ,the company is reviewing all his actions and have said that it is not their company policy to train foreign graduates for 2080 hours.They don't have the budget for it and that they cannot pay me tech's rates and claim that I am an intern as they could be violating a labour law.However,if the health board of Florida says that tech's hours do count,then they might be forced to review my situation. I do not want to mention any names here but the guy who is in charge at this company is not amenable to compromise and I think that since he was once a foreign graduate himself ,it is such a shame that he has forgotten the plight of someone who is trying their best under the cicumstances.

This thread is fantastic as we really need to share our experiences so that we can be stronger to face all the challenges.How did you guys master the computer system and the third party rejects and the pre approvals.There is just too much to absorb and master that I don't know what to concentrate on.I'm only talking as a technician at this stage.After how many weeks do you think it becomes easier?Right now I feel I have an overview of all that goes on but am not good at any one thing.I find that people are very sympathetic when they realise that I am a pharmacist but that I have to start at the bottom all over again as a tech.This is how I feel when the oral hygienist at the dental rooms tells me that she was a dentist in her country.We as pharmacists are still so lucky.In their case they have to apply to get into dental school and we know that is like an impossibility for a foreigner.

Can someone please tell me whether technicians hours count towards internship?I have asked the Florida health board this but have not got an answer.I understand that 500 hours have to be under a preceptor so what about the balance of the hours?Also,can C.E points count towards internshiphours?

Sanoun or anybody else,please advise me on possible interview questions.Also,can I assume that a pharmacy tech.gets paid between 8 and10 $.
