Just don't understand: How come some posts in GF disappear from time to time? Seems someone deletes it whenever he/she believe it is inappropriate or fake?

I don't think there is any real difference between any disciplines. The thread is making people feel offensed and I suggest someone remove it b/c it's not useful for application and academic discussion.

:) Truly expert! I say you should work for a statistic firm that analyses EconPHD application if there is one. Anyway, I don't believe I am that good to be rejected by Duke. Perhaps they just send rejections simultaneously to overqualifiers and lowest outliers. WOooooo

Thanks for keeping people optimistic,man. But I guess what you said work for a lot univ. People rejected by a lot of great universities got into other greater universities, so DUKE is not really special, though I feel really bad. Any admits of Duke today? I didnt see any. Just curious what kind of background do they have?
