  2. I am a foreign pharmacy graduate and recently I got foreign pharmacy graduate examination certification from National Association Boards of Pharmacy in the US. I am on H4 dependent visa. Now I am looking forward to get my internship hours. I do not have a social security number but I have a DMV number. I am registered with a board of pharmacy and according to that I can earn internship hours. Thay need social security number or DMV number to issue an intern lisence. I provided them my DMV number and they issed me. But according to many immigration websites I can not do unpaid internship on H4 visa. Can I do internship as a volunteer for a non-profit pharmacy to get my 1500 hours?

  4. Some movies are serious, designed to make the audience think. Other movies are designed primarily to amuse and entertain. Which type of movie do you prefer? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. Although comedy and entertaining movies are good for relaxation, I prefer to watch serious movies because in these movies, most of the stories are true stories. They always have a moral lesson and they help me to think sensibly. First, I love to watch serious movies because most of the time the stories in these movies are from real life. When we watch serious movies we have a better idea what is going on in this world. As an example, I watched a movie named “Fashion”. The movie was about the girls who want to become fashion models. In this movie I saw that what kind of hardships people face to become models and what kind of problems they face after becoming a superstar. Most of the serious movies have true stories from the lives of people. Second, I like to watch serious movies because these movies have moral lessons to learn. When we watch a serious movie, we always learn something very good at the end of movie. For example, in most of the movies the criminals always get punishment at the end. It gives us a lesson to live as a good citizen. We learn ethical lessons from serious movies. Third, I prefer to watch serious movies because these movies make our thinking mature. The serious life issues in these movies make us to think responsibly. A specific example of my cousin is a case in point. My cousin wanted to become a supermodel but when she watched the movie on this subject. She realized about the problems she would face to become a part of showbiz industry and as a supermodel. Therefore, she changed her mind and now she is a doctor. Serious movies help us to think sensibly about our life. In conclusion, it is good to watch comedy movies once in a while because entertaining movies make us happy for some moments but we should try to watch serious movies because these movies tell us about the realities of life; they always have a lesson to learn; and they help us to develop our mature thinking. Could you please give me some comments?
  5. Yeah please do not blame anybody. The only thing I know is that everybody worked sincerely for the cause. We are just overwhealmed. So please calm down.
  6. I passed FPGEE IN 2006 and tried 7 times but keep on getting 23 or 24 in speaking. I applied for rechecking and they reduce my maks 24 to 23 in speaking and 23 to 22 in writing.
  7. I am very disappointed by September newsletter. What should our next step now?
  8. Hi Long time ago I called ETS and asked for the same question (emac mentioning). They said they do not know about the policy. The organization (nabp) can tell me better what they need. So I think we should asked NABP. We should not beg ETS for this because they are business oriented. They will not listen.

    Toefl for NABP

When did you passed your FPGEE exam?
  10. I am struggling with this exam from last two years. I passed FPGEE in june 2006. I know, it'll sound crazy but one thing is keep on coming in my mind. I do not know why I am thinking what if they ask for 2 year requirement again? Then what we will do? I am praying with my heart. I do not know how many families are suffering due to this exam. I hope we will listen a good news.
  11. Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Teachers should be paid according to how much their student learn. Give specific reasons and examples to support your opinion. I think, teachers should not get salary on the basis of their class results because only teachers are not responsible for the learning process of their students. All the students do not have same learning abilities. It can also make the teachers dishonest. Firstly, teachers are not the only people who are responsible for their students’ studies. Students themselves and other people, who take care of students after school, are also responsible for their academic accomplishments. A teacher does not have enough time in a class to give individual attention to every student. For instance, A teacher has thirty to forty five minutes time period to teach a class of thirty students. She can not give more than one minute to every student because in this short time period, She has to take attendance of students, deliver the lecture, and check the home work. Parents and other care givers are responsible for their learning after school to improve their grades. They have the responsibility to ask the students to do their homework. Therefore, a school management can not evaluate a teacher’s teaching abilities on the basis of their students results because she is not the only person who is responsible for their studies. Secondly, every student gain knowledge with his own natural ability to learn. It is not necessary that all students will learn something at the same time. For example, in a class some students give more concentration on studies and some take extra time to learn something. A student who has Autism will concentrate less than a normal student. As a result, the results of a class will not be uniform. Teachers should not be paid according to their students learning amount because in a class some students learn actively and some passively. Thirdly, may be, teachers become dishonest when they will be paid on the basis of their students learning. They will not teach them to clear their concepts which can be helpful in their future practical life. Instead of that they will be worry about the results of the tests and exams of the students. For example, they teach only the topics which they are going to give in the exams because they will want their students to get good grades. That is because they know that if the grades of the students will be good then their salary will be increased. If a school administration give salary to a teacher on the basis of their students results, the teacher would become dishonest towards her duties. In conclusion, Teachers should not be get paid on the basis of their students learning because many other people than teachers are responsible for students academic success. All the students do not have same abilities to learn. It can make the teachers dishonest.
  12. 4) Schools should ask students to evaluate their teachers. Do you agree or disagree? Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer. I think, it is inappropriate to ask school students to evaluate their teachers. The students would not mature enough to access their teachers. They would favor the teachers of their own choice. The respect of the teachers will be decreased in front of students. Firstly, schools should not ask their students to evaluate their teachers because they would have immature thinking. They will see their own comfort before giving their views about a teacher. For example, If a teacher gives more homework than another teacher, most of the students will possibly be like the teacher who will give them lesser homework. They will not aware about the disadvantages of it. They will only think about their enjoyment time. Students should not be asked to evaluate their teachers because they would not aware of importance of education. Secondly, school students should not be asked to access their teachers because they will give good views about their favorite teachers who would not have good teaching abilities. Many students impress by the physical appearance of their teachers. For example, I used to like one of my school teacher in my primary school. She was not a good teacher but I like her way of dressing. Due to her appearance, I overview her weaknesses in teaching and told everybody that she was a very good teacher. Students do not evaluate their teachers on the basis of their way of teaching. They would give their views on the basis of other characteristics of a teacher. Thirdly, a school should not ask their students to evaluate their teachers because the respect of the teachers will be decrease in front of children. When the students will know that their teacher has good reputation due to their good remarks, they will feel dominating. This will reduce the respect of a teacher in front of the pupil. For example, when children will come to know that he will decided about the career of their teacher, they will be proud of it . Maybe they will also disobey their teacher. In conclusion, School students should not evaluated their teachers because they have immature thinking. They can be dishonest. It also decreases the respect of a teachers in front of pupil.
  13. 3) You have been told that dormitory rooms at your university must be shared by two students. Would you rather have the university assign student to share a room with you, or would you rather choose your own room mate? Use specific reasons and details to explain your answer. If my university ask me to share my dormitory room with another student then I would prefer to choose my room mate myself because when I will choose one of my class fellow or a friend to share my room then she will be helpful in my studies. We will live comfortably with each other. We will be straight forward with each other. Firstly, when a class fellow become my room mate then it will be very helpful for my studies .Being study in the same class, we will have almost same kind of homework to do. We will probably be able to help each other in weak areas of study. For example, I am not good in math, however, one of my class fellow is very good in math but she does not have clear concepts of biology. When we will live together then I could get help from her for math and she could get help from me in biology projects. However, if a university will choose a room mate for me from another class then she would not help me that much in my studies. A room mate of my own choice will be a great help in my studies. Secondly, When I choose my class fellow to share a room with me then we will live more comfortably with each other. Because we belong to a same age group, we will probably have same interests. For instance, we will like to go to watch a movie in a cinema or we will like to go to do some shopping on weekends. However, my university would not assign me a room mate of my age group and we may not have same hobbies. If I pick somebody to share my room then we will share same interests to enjoy life. Thirdly, when I share my dormitory room with my friend, I will not hesitate to say her about the things which I do not like. For example, I am a very neat and clean person and I like to live as an organized way. However, If my friend is messy then I will ask her frankly to clean it. In case of a stranger room mate, it will be difficult for me to ask to clean the room. It is hard to share the room with university assigned stranger room mate. If I do not like any attitude of my room sharing friend then I will easily tell her without any hesitation. In conclusion, I will like to choose my room mate of my choice in a university dormitory because we will help each other in studies. We will have same hobbies. We will be straight forward to eachother.
  14. 2) Although many people like to work by hands, I prefer to work with the help of machines because machines work fast. They are accurate and precise. They are economical. First, machines are fast. They can work quicker than hands. For example, in a pharmaceutical industry, a syrup filling machine fills more than hundred bottles in a minute. It is impossible for a man to fill hundred bottles with syrup by hand in one minute. Another example is that I can not write fifty invitations by hand in five minutes. On the other hand with the help of a photocopier, I will need to write only once and then get the rest of photocopies of that invitation. Machines save more time as compare to hand work. Second, machines work neatly as compare to hand work. I do not worry about the quality of my work when I work with the help of machines. For example, a tablet machine, in a pharmaceutical industry, makes all the tablets of uniform size and of uniform quantity of ingredients. It is not possible for a person to make small tablets with precision and accuracy. A machine can do work perfectly as compare to a man. Third, machines are very economical. A machine can do the work of dozens of labors. For example, a machine can put five hundred caps on jam jars in a minute. If an industry do not have that machine then it will need fifty more labors to do the same work . The company will pay every labor for his work. Where as a machine needs only a single person supervision. Therefore, an industry, with a machine, will pay only one labor instead of fifty labors and in this way money will be saved. Machines save more money as compare to handwork. In conclusion, in my opinion, we should work with machines because the work with the machines is fast, neat and economic.
  15. Thank you so much!!! appreciate your help.
  16. Some people think that government should spend as much money as possible on developing or buying computer technology. Other people disagree and think that this money should be spent on more basic needs. Which one of these opinions do you agree with? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. A government should spend money on basic needs to improve peoples' life. However, the development of computer technology is also necessary. In my opinion, a government should spend more money for the improvement of computer technology because indirectly it will be helpful to improve the basic needs of the people. Computer technology can improve the standard of education in a country. It can improve the growth of economy of a nation. It can improve the peoples' knowledge by exploring the world. A government should spend more money on computer technology because it is a great help for the improvement of educational standards in a country. Education is a basic need of a nation for the development of a country. In developed countries people use computers from preschools to high level degree classes. It is necessary for the students to use computer for learning because it is a very helpful tool to study. For example, a student can attend distance learning classes with the help of computer and internet. Another benefit of computer is that It makes the study quicker than traditional educational setup. For example, A person can have a whole library in a computer and he does not need to go to a library for hours to search a single book or a topic. On the other hand, if a government does not care for the development of computer technology in country then the students will not be able to study in efficient way and they would not compete internationally. Computer is very important for the good standard of education in a country. A government can make a country economically strong by spending on computer technology. As the world is becoming global village people can do overseas businesses with the help of computer. For example, a person can export and import things with out traveling from his own country or from other countries with the help of computer and internet. Businessmen can introduce with each other with the help of websites. They can share their experiences with the help of e-mails. When the people of a country will become strong economically they will be volunteer to spend their money for basic needs of the people of their country. But if they could not use the computer technology and do not know about the international trading, they will possibly be not strong enough to support poor people of their country. A country can be strong economically by spending on developing and buying computer technology. A government should spend money for the improvement of computer and internet because it will be helpful for the people to explore the world and gain knowledge. With the help of computer and internet people can have more knowledge about the world. For example, with the help of internet people can access to the newspapers of the other countries. They know about the cultures of other countries. They can have access to the recent research papers and journals of the developed countries' scientists. By gaining this knowledge a nation can make standards and developments locally to compete with the modern world. On the other hand if the people of a country do not have computer technology, they would not able to make their name in any field in this world. In conclusion, a government should spend more money for the improvement of computer technology because it helps to improve the education, economy and knowledge of a nation. Infect, it also improve the basic needs of the people of a country.
