  1. yes...... you may find mistakes.... on avg. 3-4 in every set....... but thats wot the forums are for :p ain't it??
  2. Good going prawler....... that was what my point was exactly........ do the sets thoroughly..... ull score over 700...... period!!!:p
  3. hi sainath, i dont think ill b applying this year as i have very less wrk ex(2 years only)....... so it doesnt make sense to think of schools this year...... next year, ill definitly apply........ good luck for GMAT.......
  4. thanx buddy.......... :D one of the places where i seriosly lack is wrk ex. i currently have about 1 yr. of wrk ex only......:p..... hope 2 improve on that before app......... good luck........
  5. hey rs, yes i completed all the above mentioned documents..........:grad: (minus the LSAT part of course) And yes, 1000RC is the same as 3000RC.doc .......... i just like calling it by that name....... btw there r only 117 passages in it(donno y is it called 1000 or 3000 RC)...... hope that helps, good luck:tup:
  6. since u r non wrking....... i suggest u take two tests a day..... one in morning and one at night(lol i sound like a doc....:p) but pls remember, do analyze each difficult question properly, irrespective of weather it is wrong or not.......and take a gap of minimum four hours between the tests so that fatigue may not effect the performance..... enjoy life.........good luck.....
  7. thanx....:p... hope u get higher.....:grad: good luck.....
  8. Hey prawler, Good to know that u r working hard....... but i must stress that, in my experience, this is not the correct way to work. 1)You should NEVER do more than 100 avg. difficulty SCs in a day........ rather analyze them properly....most of the times, a SC contains more than one error..... ask urself, if this ques comes in GMAT and i do not see this error, what are the alternative errors??? :hmm: 2) if u have some time left( which i guess ull have plenty since u r non-working), concentrate on the other areas of GMAT. Ideally you should touch on at least 3 different areas(not topics) in a day. Eg. Ps, Cr and Sc on one day and so on........:grad: 3) Dont fret about finishing materials...... GMAT is not an exam where finishing big, thick books will help, rather whatever u do, do it thoroughly..... 4)Focus on accuracy..... And finally, The above works best with me.....and is my humble opinion...... ur strategy to study may be better:rolleyes:.... but ive studied the way u r doin right now and saw nearly the same results as u r............ so................................ enjoy life.....
  9. Thanks a lot........ hope u also score high.......;) Good luck......
  10. Yes, I took the Gmatprep exams by uninstalling and then installing again........ I did not see many repeats in the quant but yes, I saw many repeats in the verbal part........:sleepy: But dont be bothered about repeats...... only try and exhaust as many questions as you can from the Gmatprep's bank......... Good Luck.......
  11. hey there, I personally dont like to brag about my life on a public forum......... but if it helps you i'd still like to be concise and to the point(not the usual yada-yada)....... Acad. Profile: An Indian engineer (guess that says much) Preparation strategy: 1)Finish Og 2)Take a Gmatprep test 3)Take date 4)Study until you are just short of dying(literally):D 5)Take the GMAT...... and live happily ever after:p Materials I completed: 1)OG 10 2)OG11 3)Nova GMAT 4)Princeton review 5)Kaplan 6) Kaplan verbal 7)Kaplan 800 8)1000SC 9)1000CR 10)1000RC 11)Manhattan SC 12)ALL SETs (31 in no.) 13)800sore's AWA guide CATs I gave: 1) 2 X Kaplan: 590 and 600 (but as we know kaplan is bullcrap) 2) 3 X Princeton: 710, 680, 650 3) 1 X Cambridge: 700 4) 1 X 800score: 700 5) 1 X powerprep: 780 6) 4 X Gmatprep: 710, 730, 750, 750 Gave 6 CATs with AWA to get the full 4-hour practice.......... Hope this helps.........
  12. I followed no strict timing strategy........ My strategy was simple: just focus on the accuracy(at least for the first 15-20 questions) because GMAT awards accuracy more than it does speed. But the overall timing I observed in my case was like.... 1)Less than a minute for easy and medium SC. Under 1:45 for hard 2)Less than 10 minutes for a 4 ques RC 3)Nearabout 2 minutes for CR But thats just an observation....... your efforts should, in my view, must always be on accuracy and not on speed.........:) good luck.........
