Hi all, i need some advice. I have a 1st class BSc Econ from UCL and also MSc (only pass)- while my exam grades are good, i only just scrapped a pass mark in my dissertation. I applied last year and got rejected everywhere mainly due to my GRe math of 680, but i thought i had a decent academic background and would have got in somewhere this time my gre scores will hopefully be higher, but do you guys think it is owrth re-applying to universities which i got rejected last year? bit anxious about the whole porcess again- which schools are generally regarded as good safety schools?

called the grad person at cornell yesterday. the status on my application still hasn't changed. he said he was hopeful that it will all be dome by friday lets hope its good news best of luck everyone omphd

Dear all i have been told that no decision has been made regarding my application, and it will either be rejected or accepted without financial aid just windering how many others are in the same boat the thing which really annoys me is that i keep on emailing the grad secr at cornell, asking when we should expect to hear a decision by, i.e. end of march, april- but i never get a clear answer already some posts on grade cafe with rejections by post i know patience is a virtue, but i dont have it!!!!!!!!!

anymore news regarding penn state- no more posts on grade cafe, so what's going on!!!!!!!!!

thanks signali well all i really want is one acceptance so that i have a chance to prove myself and do what i enjoy- researc in economics congrats on your admission just want to wish everyone else good luck and that hope everyone at least gets one acceptance to have a shot at their dream:)

hi there guys i emailed cornell last week and was told no decision has been made regarding my application- from what i gather from other posts does this effectively mean waitlisted what are the chances of being accepted? anyone else heard from cornell do you think it is worth calling the secretary as i seem to be calling him every week with no change in the answer called penn state and decisions should be out this week or next with four rejections and only cornell and penn state left just praying for some good news will apprecitate your thoughts
