  1. Hi! :) Well actually I can't say that I am that good :o, yet yesterday I took the PP test1 and got Q770 and V430...I don't really know where I am standing though. My plans are to go through the whole verbal part in PP (AntonymsI,II&III, Comp. Sentences I,II and III and Analogies I,II and III) and also learn all the Analogies&Antonyms in the ETS book from A-E. Then I will take the PP tests constantly to refine my skills in verbal and quants and to practice on the timing...what do you think of that? How did you prepare? Regards GRESWEDEN :)
  2. Thanx a lot guys...your comments were utterly helpful... GRESWEDEN:)
  3. Yeah I know what you mean...I'm busting my brains out out here for solving this one... GRESWEDEN :D
  4. From the ETS Book...How to prepare for the GRE test...there are lots of analogies there... GRESWEDEN

  6. Hehe...Don't know Svetlana...;) I made a stupid mistake...I guess I am drunk...thanx a lot...what was your highest score on the pp before you took the GRE exam? Regards GRESWEDEN
  7. I agree with the fact that 4% = 0.04 and 6% = 0.06 but when I try to solve the two equations (which should be fully possible since I have two equations and two unknown variables)...I get negative values for one of the variables and the other value thus becomes inlogical and exceeds the boundaries of the equations. GRESWEDEN ?
  8. But I still get negative values for Y, Kfree...[:(!] GRESWEDEN
  9. Thanx Svetlana...I will look through the posts... GRESWEDEN :)
  10. And just another one... Question ======= When the positive integer n, is divided by 7, the quotient is q and the remainder is 4. When 2n is divided by 7, the remainder is 1 and the quotient, in terms of q is Options ====== q/2 q/2+1 2q 2q+1 2q+2 Answer: ====== 2q+1 GRESWEDEN :)
  11. Hi Tina! Thanx a lot...I understand exactly...:o GRESWEDEN :)
  12. And next... Question ======= Part of a $10,000 inheritance was invested at 4 percent and the remainder was invested at 6 percent. The total simple annual interest earned on the $ 10,000 at the end of one year was $ 520. Column A ======= The amount invested at 4 percent Column B ======= The amount invested at 6 percent Answer: ====== B The problem I am facing is that I get negative values on my variables while solving this with 2 simple linear equations as follows: x + y = 10 000 (1) 1.04*x + 1.06*y = 520 (2) (1)=> y = 10 000 - x (3) (3) in (2): 1.04*x+ 1.06*(10 000 - x) = 520 etc...[|)] GRESWEDEN :)
  13. Next question... Question ======= Twenty-seven people applied for a certain managerial job. According to one report, the first interview narrowed the field down to fewer than 7 candidates. Another report claimed that the first interview eliminated fewer than 23 applicants from consideration. If both reports are true, and if x applicants were eliminated by the first interview, what are the possible values of x? Options ====== 21 only 22 only 20 and 21 only 21 and 22 only 21, 22 and 23 only Answer: ====== 21 and 22 only GRESWEDEN :)
  14. Here I am with another question from the PP material... Question ======= A certain holiday is always on the fourth Tuesday of Month X. If Month X has 30 days, on how many different dates of Month X can the holiday fall? Options ====== Four Five Six Seven Eight Answer: Seven GRESWEDEN :)
