Is there any Pharmacist opprtunity in any state you know? I am RPh in IL, IN and MI but ready to relocate anywhere. I need H1B sponsorship as I am a foreign graduate. I had my H1B before but surrendered that H1B. It was through one of staffing agency. So now I don't come under quota and I can start job immidiately as soon as I get approval. I am looking for Pharmacist job since march 2010. I am having RPh license of IL, IN and MI. The only problem for not getting a job is visa. I need H1B sponsorship. I talked to may people but no luck...Actually I had H1B before through Kruse staffing but they were not able to put me at Kroger because of this economy and their conract broke up with kroger. Also I was not able to find job by my self so I came back again on H4 visa. Now, again I need h1B for my new job but I won't come under quota and I can start work as soon as i get it approved, as earlier I had h1B. I don't have to wait till october to start my work. If anyone knows regarding available positions in these state who can sponsor H1B please pass on the details to me. I am trying everywhere...

Can anyone have idea after how much time we can retake MPJE for If fails in exam? Is it one month or no time limit? One more question for who appeared for exam ....Is it necessary to read IL compiled Statues which IL board send us for controlled substance act and pharmacy act? or just Rules for Controlled substance and Pharmacy act and needles and syringle act is sufficient? Any hint will be appriciated. Thanks

Does anybody has any contact details of any consultant who can file H1B in our pharmacy field? I think this year it is very hard to get sponsorship from chain pharmacy. Atleast through consultant we can file H1 and then can find job, once we get our H1B. Right now I am doing my internship in MI, as a volunteer. Any help will be appericiated.

I applied for Indiana state Intern permit recently. Still haven't heard anything from their side. I am on H4 visa and I don't have SSN. But I asked board that they can issue a deficiency letter to me, if I don't have SSN.

You need to have FPGEC certificate and you should have Pharmacy Technician license, thats what they told me....IL board people don't bother to answer us in a proper way. Even I don't ahve SSN so I don't know how I can get Pharm Tech license. But I filed my application form for pharmacist in IL. Let's see what they will tell.

Hi Remedia, Thanks a lot for your valuable suggestions for NAPLEX. I also want to know which books u used? I think people suugest for APhA and Manan's calculation. Have u done Applenton and Lange or KAPLAN book for NAPLEX?

Guys, I have a question regarding transfer of Internship hours. I am planning to do my internship in Michigan but my long term planning is to settle down in Illinois. If I complete 1200 hours (which is required by IL) in Michigan, can I transfer those hours to Illinois and then can apply for Naplex and MPJE in IL?

tsetaker, NABP National Association of Boards of Pharmacy You can go to Publication and then to go PPAD and then enter data in achievement of FPGEC.

Hi everybody, Does anybody have idea about internship in Michigan? Is it possible to do internship without SSN? I checked application form and it mentions US social security number. Hi everybody, I am a foreign pharmacy graduate. I graduated in 1999 with 4 years degree program and I cleared both my FPGEE and Toefl iBT exam recently. I am in the process of getting my FPGEC certificate. I live in illinois and I want to be a registered pharmacist there. I have couple of questions. (1) Along with the application form, fee, FPGEC certificate and ECE report, what I need to submit? Do they want transcript from our college too? Can I send transcript in sealed envelop along with other documents to them or my college needs to send them directly? Also I have ECE evaluation report which mention that my degree is equivalent to Bachelor of science in pharmaceutical science. Is that sufficient? I got it evaluated before applying for FPGEE. (2) Does anybody has any idea about visa status? Because I am on H4 visa(dependent visa). So I do not have social security number with me. Without social security number I can not apply for technician license. So how I can start my internship until I do not get my H1 vis(work permit). Can I start my clinical course (internship) as a volunteer in any pharmacy after getting internship approval from board? Please give me guidance in above matter. I will be highly thankful to you.

I also got the same response from NABP executive office. We will not come to know about the outcome until Feb 6, 2009. So we have to wait, we do not have any other option. Response from NABP is as follows: Thank you for your email. The Task Force to Review TOEFL iBT Score Requirements met October 28-29, 2008 at the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®) Headquarters at the direction of the Executive Committee. The task force reviewed and analyzed the present passing standard for the speaking portion of the TOEFL iBT. The results of the task force will appear in the task force report. The task force report must first be approved by the Executive Committee before the results are announced to the public. The Executive Committee will review the task force report during their February 4-6, 2009 meeting. The results will be available after February 6, 2009. All information was reviewed at the task force meeting and additional information can not be considered at this time. Additional inquiries or information received will not affect the results of the task force report nor will the results be publicized until after the Executive Committee has reviewed the task force report.

I got the same reply from NABP in response to my e-mail. The reply form NABP is as follows: Thank you for your email. The English language proficiency requirements of the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee™ (FPGEC®) Certification Program will be addressed by a Task Force late this fall. The results will be made public afterward via the NABP® Web site at www.nabp.net. As part of this process, consideration will be given to applicant concerns with the requirements. It seems that something will definitely work out.

It seems that they are not going to consider any alternative tests apart from Toefl iBT. They are going to recosider only requirements for iBT especially speaking. They have enlisted names of members for that task force. Let's hope for the best. I think they should reconsider atleast individual score requirement. There should not be any individual requirement for each section apart from speaking as it was not there before. At the time of TSE and Toefl, applicants need to score total score in Toefl and 50 in TSE. Let's pray God for best outcome in our favour.
