CIS: Research: Human-Computer Interaction Professor Sarah Douglas, is very well known professor in HCI and working with Haptics, graphics and audio constitute the general area of multi- sensory interactions. CIS: People: Sarah Douglas I believe if Software Engineering/HCI is a concern then U Oregon is better choice but for Harware/VLSI OSU should be the choice.

U Oregon is different than Oregon State. I think overall O State rank in CS PhD is around 60-70. The US News PhD ranking is of 2006 that I found. The SWE rank of Oregon State is much higher[Top 5 that I found] Good Luck

I found the CS PhD ranking of U Oregon in US News Report as 67. Hope this is research ranking. Oregon is between California and Washington. How is the job opportunity after graduation or in summer? Please suggest
