  1. I just graduated. I just wanted to see if anyone knew how hard it is for a homeschooler to get into a UC. Those are my stats and I got accepted into UCD and UCSC. I know my ACT scores were not the best, but I did not study because I found out at the last minute I needed them before January. After I posted this I found out only 8 homeschoolers were admitted by exception last year. If any other homeschooled kids need help with the UC process I would be glad to help. The main thing is to set yourself apart in your essay. Just hang in there and remember that UCR does admit homeschoolers with a portfolio. It is not impossible.
  2. I am going to be a college freshman soon and I am already looking into law school. I heard somewhere that law schools average your LSAT's scores instead of taking the highest score. Is that true? I want to take the LSAT's as many times as a I can because I was only able to take my ACT/SAT once because I home school and was virtually blind to the whole college admissions process. I was lucky to to receive a 25 without studying, but I want it to be different with my LSAT. If I take my LSAT say 4 times will they average the 4, or take my highest score? Thanks
  3. Hello, I am currently homeschooling and wonder do I have a chance of getting into a UC by the admission by exception policy? My ACT composite was a 25 that broke down into the following: Math: 19 English: 25 Writting: 9 Science: 24 Reading: 31 SAT II Spanish: 380 US History: 640 (Not good enough for eligibility by examination alone) I know I can get into UCR as a homeschooler, but I really don't want to. Would it be hard to get into UC Davis? Will I have to go to a CC. I have already taken 9 CC classes during my high school career. I need to go to a UC because of financial reasons because it is the cheapest. Thanks:cool:
