  2. imo A x^4 + y^4 > z^4 i.e (x^2+ y^2)(x^2+ y^2) > z^4 i.e (x + y)(x+y)(x + y)(x+y) > z^4 so from 1 statement z^2 > z^4 and from 2 statement z^4 > z^4 which is not possible. So A.

  9. Two years ago, City L was listed 14th in an annual survey that ranks cities according to the quality of life that can be enjoyed by those living in them. This information will enable people who are moving to the state in which City L is located to confidently identify one place, at least, where schools are good, housing is affordable, people are friendly, the environment is safe, and the arts flourish -------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the above argument, the author didn't mentioned that which type of survey it was national level or state level neither he mentioned the number of cities. It might possible that this survey is state level and in that the rank of city L is 14 which is not a good rank for the state level. If the 13 other cities are more better in the same state than why people will come to city L ? Another flaw in this arguement is that what is the source of survey i.e on how many people this survey is based upon ? The author assumed that there is no other reason which will affect the people's choice to move in city L. It might possible that all the author facts are true either about the good schools or about the enviornment but what will happened to his claim when city is just a small town having no industry, no job opportunity. If this will true, then why people will go to city L. And last but not the least, all the datas are of two years ago. It might possible that now the enviornment is worst in the state. Schools do not have proper resources for the children. Because of real state boom, houses are not affordable. Finally we should belive on the present data which tells about actual condition not on the past data.
  10. The presence of a competitor is always beneficial to a company. Competition forces a company to change itself in ways that improve its practices." ---------------------------------------------------------------------- The competion among companies of a particular sector is most beneficiary to public instead of companines. For example in the telecom industry, if only a single company will provide the services than the company knew that as there is a monopoly in this field and there is no other competitor, people are bound to take its service. They don't have any other choice. And it will result the low quality service. company will not launch the new plans for customer beneficial. But if there is a competitor in the telecom sector, company will try to crack the customers of oppenet compony. And for this it will launch new and exciting plans which will attract the customers. Company will also improve its quality and also tries to attract the customer from its quality services and behaviour. Let the case of vodafone and bharti. As bharti starts to provide 3G service in India other poviders also try to give the 3G with some more services and try to recapture its customers which it losts. So in this tariff war and service wars, it is the public who gets the maximum benefit not the company. In todays world public have many options and they have to see what extra that company is providing.
