  1. i agree with coolaman .. i think the problem with B is who that seems to be only associated with 'other graduates' ... at least thats why i dropped B any better explanation why B is out?
  2. C looks like the best option but it does change the meaning ... original sentence talks about lack of doctors .. while C talks about lack of testimony B sticks to the meaning BUT sounds weird ... i wouldnt pick B .. but can anyone explain why B is incorrect?
  3. mitzi's explanation is nice Pronoun ambiguity check (1) first, check ALL of the answers for pronoun ambiguity. if there are any unambiguous pronouns, then you should go with those first. (2) if ALL of the answer choices (or at least all of the choices without glaring grammatical errors) have ambiguous pronouns, then go with the pronouns that are grammatically parallel to their antecedents. C. quetzalcoatlus is the SUBJECT of its clause, and it is the SUBJECT of its clause. wingspan is the OBJECT of its clause, so the use of it is correct. C is also structurally parallel
  4. okay this is how i solved it .. |x| + |x-1| = 1 x + x - 1 =1 x=1 or -x -x + 1 = 1 -2x = 0 x = 0 ------------>> isnt this correct?? question: is x=0,1 ? so do we really need to go that deep in the equation and plug in values to prove that C is the answer ... can this be done under 2mins?
  5. is |x| + |x-1| = 1 ? 1. x >= 0 2. x = OA:
  6. triangle having PQ as hyp. will have base=w, height=w so this makes PQ=w* sqrt(2)
  7. yea nicely done .. why didnt i think as you did :)
  8. imo a 1. if all are non-zero digits and r=6u then the only values for both are u=1 & r=6. now u cant be 2, making r=12 and we can compute the rest x=0.6231 2. not enough, equal products could be any numbers r*u=s*t 1*3=3*1 2*4=2*4 4*2=4*2 so not enough
  9. imo ... D 1. imagine each piece having two parts. rectangular part having dimensions w*(36-3*2)=w*30. the other part has two right angle triangles at each end, each having area w*w/2 2. from PQ you can calculate w. 3*sqrt(2) and you can calculate the rest of area
  10. imo ... C (W-w)/W 1. only tells that 1/10 77.4 2. W-w = 5 not enough to answer the question now using both 1 & 2 lets assume W=78 (the smaller the value, the bigger the percentage change) 10% of 78 = 7.8 ... but the difference is only 5 so yes the change is less than 10 %
  11. What is the remainder when the positive integer n is divided by 2? (1) When n is divided by 5, the remainder is an odd integer. (2) When n is divided by 10, the remainder is an odd integer. OA:
  12. click on the image .. you should be able to see it ... i can
  13. What is the value of x + y in the attached figure? (1) w = 95 (2) z = 125 OA:
