Hi, I just gave my GMAT. My unofficial score is 700. I have 4 years of experience in IT industry. which schools would you say I should apply in? I had a CGPA of 8.4/10 in my B.E. what are my chances in the top 10?? I will try to recollect some questions too.. Verbal turned out a little easier than the Kaplan practice tests.. especially the reading comp. coz I was particulary taking more time in reading comps. regards Preeti

Hi Isha, Even though the sequence is changed in D, the meaning of the sentence hasn't changed.. I found it difficult to choose between C and D .. Also, are there rules for sentences after the semicolon? I've had problems with questions using semi colons.. thanks Preeti

which one is correct here- that a bank disclose ... OR that a bank discloses .. (though this choice is not given in this question, i wanted to know the correct usage) you are right that 2 is the correct choice. thanks preeti

Hi, Shouldn't the solution be (6C3 * 2C1)/2 ?? =20. Since the problem talks about dividing the tiles into 2 groups we should not consider the number of possible arrangements of the tiles.. secondly there will be duplicate pairs which we should eliminate.

Then, A -> B, C, D B -> A, C, D C -> A, B, E (since D can not shake hands with 3 people) Notice here that this table meets all the given requirements. Now, count the handshakes 3 + 3 + 3 - 1 -1 -1 The subtractions are necessary since A shaking hands with B and vice versa is counted as 1 handshake not 2. Same goes for other handshakes too.
