  1. Erin, Would you please remove my contact info from the following thread, as I'm unable to do so. http://www.www.urch.com/forums/gmat/69967-online-study-partner-just-serious-test-takers.html Any suggestion on how change previous posts to remove contact info ? Thanks again Erin! You're the best!
  2. The following thread says OA is B for the first question. http://www.www.urch.com/forums/gmat-reading-comprehension/64622-rc-test16.html
  3. 5. B 6. C 7. B Please post OAs and source of the passage. I will explain if they are right.
  4. The primary purpose of the passage is to A. describe some unusual features of anole lizard species B. account for a particular type of behavior found among anole lizard species C. contrast two types of evidence that have been used to support a particular hypothesis concerning anole lizard species D. explain how researchers resolved a particular scientific question concerning anole lizard species E. examine different explanations for a particular trait common to certain anole lizard species.
  5. Clearly E. A. Salt is unusually large during past hundred years. Negation: Salt is not usually large. It doesn't weaken the conclusion. Author stated AGE is calculated by salt, but author never told that salt is more or less in past hundred years , did not compare quantity in different periods. E. Salt is not is consumed by any fishes (or any ocean inhabitants). Negation: Salt is consumed by fishes. So, age calculation would be wrong.
  6. Congrats. Good luck with the Application process. Also, please write a detailed debrief.

A and E are good ones. in A, it seems eruption of Vesuvius in two letters.. sounds like eruption occured in two letters. This problem is addressed in E.

  13. D has got fatal error in meaning. It has to be C. Some people avoid "In that" just because it doesn't sound good.. It's NOT about SOUND Test
  14. ============ For many revisionist historians, Christopher Columbus has come to Personify devastation and enslavement in the name of progress that Has decimated native peoples of the Western Hemisphere. A. devastation and enslavement in the name of progress that has decimated native peoples of the Western Hemisphere B. devastation and enslavement in the name of progress by which native peoples of the Western Hemisphere have been decimated C. devastating and enslaving in the name of progress those native peoples of the Western Hemisphere that have been decimated D. devastating and enslaving those native peoples of the Western hemisphere which in the name of progress are decimated. E. the devastation and enslavement in the name of progress that have decimated the native peoples of the Western Hemisphere. ============ Here is the concern. OA is A. This has been long discussed on these forums. All most everyone thinks it's A or E. But nothing has been concluded yet. In A and E, it's only minor difference of Verb agreement. But in both of these cases, it is implied that "PROGRESS has decimated peoples." which is very wrong, because progress cannot kill people. To my understanding so far, THAT can only refer to IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING NOUN. Option# B takes care of this meaning shift and grammatical error, though it looks little wordy. Gurus, Please comment. Thanks
  15. B: Many ankle injuries for which an initial x-ray is ordered are revealed by the x-ray not to involve any fracture of the ankle. This says precondition to detect if there is a fracture or not. But Scope of Argument is about, Follow-up X-rays with Fractures that are stable. It never talked about cases where fracture is not detected. Scoretop Tutor thinks it's C. Sounds like OA is wrong for me.
