  1. Gmater-1: My experience says that all SCs are of equal difficulty once you have read the rules of grammer and common mistakes given in manhattan SCs. My suggestion is that you first read Manhattan SC book and start reading The economist, nytimes bbc and wsj. These newspapers apply the rules in almost every sentence and their sentences are of similiar complexity. This will help you a lot and obviously practice practice practice....
  2. RAJAT02: it depands on which B-schools you are targeting. If you are trying for ISB then go ahead, normally they take freshers. But as far as US schools goes it is very difficult to get admission without work experience. References are required in most of the US business schools even in IIMs so there is nothing to get confused. You have to secure good recommendations. GMAT preparation takes about 2-6months and you can take the exam all year long. All you have to do is schedule an appointment and take the test
  3. TICKLE: it is not difficult but its more awkward. TURTLEEATER: erasable pad is a 4page notebook. The pages are laminated with transparent plastic sheet and you write on them using erasable black marker. It gives you the same feeling as writing on whiteboard. As for the test date go to www.mba.com and check for avalibility in the test center near you.
  4. TICKLE: I have to use erasable pad, there is no option. you have to use that or dont use anything JPWINDSURFER: Redbull is a good idea but if you dont drink it regularly buy some 8-10 and start drinking one each day. I did the same.
  5. I am not a native speaker of english. I used OG 11 OG verbal Kaplan verbal Kaplan 800 and manhattan SC. I think reading nytimes economist and bbc worked for me.
  6. Test day experience: I reached one hour before the scheduled test time(9:00am). Administrator said that I can start right away so after using the restroom went into the test room to take the bull by the horn. AWA went strictly ok. 10min break. I had red bull as suggested by other forum users. Quantitative In the whole section there was not a single question where I got struck. I was a little nervous after 5-7 questions because I didnt any tough questions as mentioned in other debriefings. This doesnt mean this I am a quant stud. I use to get struck in some quant questions in GMATprep software. 10min break I was very nervous thinking that I didnt do well. Anyway, I thought there is not need to worry as I am not good at verbal also and I might have to take the test again. Used the restroom and drank some water and started the last section Verbal To my surprise 4 question was the bold face one. I was happy that I didnt first 3 questions correctly. Section started with 2 SC and 2 CR and then RC. After 10-12 questions I started to get really twisted and long CR questions. Finally, I was left with 10 mins and 10questions to finish and I was not able to control my nerves. I was reading the questions but nothing was going into my head. I tried reading the same question 2-3times but it was of no use so I started guessing and finished the section right on time. Filled up the survey form patiently and then clicked score report. It took about 5-7mins for the software to calculate my score but it seemed like ages.
