  1. This is super great Krovvidy.. well done and well deserved.. All the Best Buddy.. it is awesome :)
  2. Saket if you draw the diagram it might help you.. if not tell us how you got 6 and we might be able to help you
  3. wes76, i meant Powerscore Bible and not MLIC powerscore bible. Sorry it was a typo which I have edited. You should get Powerscore Bible on esnips.com. If you dont PM me your ID
  4. Let us know how it goes Carthik, Feel free to PM me if needed
  5. rev11: I dont think so, It is never the case that the questions are exhausted. I think the writers of the questions make pools easy, medium, hard and very hard and then the questions are distributed in your test depending on the way you are performing. Be confident for the 6 Oct test Buddy :) you will rock
  6. Yeah this sets is a big time issue but as flex said it is more for practice
  7. GMAT121, The material you talk about is just enough. I dont think you need anymore. IMO all you need is what flex_manny said. " Review your mistakes" Do only 10 questions a day but make sure you understand them rather than just solving them. People just do the OG and manage 650 but this is because they have really understood OG. work on it. Also, how is your time management and stamina? Though this is not your priority as of now it should be an area where you need to work. It is not tough buddy, it is a question of persistence. Just come back with a bang on 1 Oct and hit it. Let us know if we can help you further.
  8. Thanks a ton Eterniti.. It really helped :) ATB Suchi
  9. Raghu, For Quant, you will need to know which topic you are weak in and then read the material on the net. For eg: if you are weak in P and C or inequality Google these topics and get the basics right. There is enough on the net. I dont think you need to do anymore. Just search. Once you get your concepts make handful of notes. Kill_GMAT has given us a few links and you can check them out in his debrief. In RC just one question: After your read the passage, first line last line, or anything are you able to summarise the passage. Try this excercise. Read the passage and then close the computer and ask yourself " What was the passage all about" If you can answer this question you will do well in the passage. If you cant answer this question that means you have read passively and you do not know the content. If you do not know the content you will not be able to improve in RCs. Try to summarize the passage and I am sure you will be at 70% accuracy rate in 3 days. Try Gin's notes. Let us know how this goes.
  10. Really great.. we need to hear more from you... Congrats!!
  11. Thanks Eterniti! and Congrats! How was the difficulty level of CRs? Will you call them OG 10 and 11 level or was it LSAT level
  12. Carthik ( I like your spelling, normally it is Karthik) This is what I suggest: 1) Quant: You are not sure if you are confident with your fundamentals- first test this. Do 50 Questions and see how many are correct and if you are wrong why are they wrong. Careless mistakes dont forgive yourself, for concepts use Dr math online. The net is a good place to start. Co-Ordinate Geometry:- Google it; It has some 3 to 4 formulas in straight lines and some 3 properties each in hyperbola, parabola and ellipse. Learn them. And then Practice. In all some 10 things. SC: is Ok- make it your strength. This is a time saver and make sure you utilize it fully. RC- You are good at it and you are lucky. THey carry a lot marks as well and is the most neglected area by all the students- Do, 4 RCs a day. Get to 90% accuracy. Make sure you get the best out of your strength. CR- Pick the Powerscore Bible and read it twice. NO COMPRIMISE on this. After this your apporach will change. Give tests: This time timed and then more important is after test HW. review your mistake and see how can you crack the Questions differently. Books: PR Manaul is good for basics. Did you read OG maths. That is also good and gives you good elementary knowledge HTH.
  13. You can definitely improve. Where there is a will there is a way. Just give yourself sometime, say 2 or 3 days and recollect all that happened in the test. You could go wrong in 1) basic/concepts 2) Time management ( spending too much time in a few questions) 3) Losing interest ( when you have a not so strong stamina) Check out were you went wrong. Tell us your exam experience and your split. I am sure you will get many suggestions and then you can pick the best you like and work on these 3 areas. I am sure you will do well. All the Best
  14. As we read this a quick doubt that comes to our mind is " what if the newer treatises based their judgement on the older treatises" and this is what is said by D OA pls?
  15. Through option E you are making it clear that the price did not drop due to the demand. In B you are giving another reason for the drop in the price. So as the price dropped due to domestic production we cannot conclude about "If the program had been successful, the wholesale price of most illegal drugs would not have dropped substantially in 1987."
  16. Thanks buddy.. I had gone for B in the beginning and I was not clear why B is wrong. Also, I like the way you highlighted the flaw in C
  17. Meg, Many a times I also feel the same. But the key is don't ever get frustrated with all this. I am sure you will do well
  18. OA B Good to see borntorun after long time :)
  19. I think the example you have taken is incorrect. you have taken 36 which is having 9 factors. The question says it has only 4 factors. I dont think I have clarified your concept but I think the example used is wrong. I am not sure if you will be able to get examples which has 4 factors and also have the issue which you see in 36
  20. I think if the author says 'it would be cheaper' this 'cheaper' has to be from something which is already in the stimulus. This is my assumption and I might be wrong. So I am some how not convinced but surely open to discussion :)
  21. Pls do not post IMOs pls give reasoning Extinction is a process that can depend on a variety of ecological, geographical, and physiological variables. These variables affect different species of organisms in different ways, and should, therefore, yield a random pattern of extinctions. However, the fossil record shows that extinction occurs in a surprisingly definite pattern, with many species vanishing at the same time. Which of the following, if true, forms the best basis for at least a partial explanation of the patterned extinctions revealed by the fossil record? A. Major episodes of extinction can result from widespread environmental disturbances thataffect numerous different species. B. Certain extinction episodes selectively affect organisms with particular sets ofcharacteristics unique to their species. C. Some species become extinct because of accumulated gradual changes in their localenvironments. D. In geologically recent times, for which there is no fossil record, human intervention haschanged the pattern of extinctions. E. Species that are widely dispersed are the least likely to become extinct.
