  1. Hello, I've been told to look through these threads for math help...it's a little disjointed to me, are there particular threads or perhaps types I should take a look at? Also, I've been looking for a good summary for formulas (particularly number theory questions because I am lost on these...such as find the number of primes or factors between 10-88) Thanks a bunch guys, Sharon
  2. math:640 verbal 560 Sigh, I was pretty upset because I was taking kaplan practice tests and scored around 1400, but of course this threw me off and led me to a much worse score. Unfortunately, my mentor (who has been on the board for the national science foundation) says I must pull these up in order to score a fellowship and then have a chance at some very competitive programs. I have looked through the barrons list and feel as though I retained a good amount. On the test, I saw a good amount but not everything and thus I missed out on some. I think my reading comprehension is fine too, they seem easier on the actual gre The math really threw me off and so I would love to see if you guys knew of any books that were as close to the real test. So I would love suggestions on books to buy and how much time to allow myself to get scoring in the 1400s again (if not more, I know I can do it!)
  3. Hi guys, I have had some issues with making sure that the first questions are answered correctly. In the powerpreps I have found that there are not as many barrons words as I expected and thus I'm left with guessing (generally wrong) so I'm really hurting my score. Any tips on how to overcome this? Usually later on I get more right questions but of course thanks to the adaptive part of the test I can never reach above 600. Thanks in advance!
