  1. Thanks - This question was taken from SET 19 Q24. I will assume OA is incorrect as is sometimes the case.
  2. I get E, too; however, OA is C.
  3. If w & c are integers, is w>0? (1) w+c>50 (2) c>48
  4. If k is an integer and 2 1 2 3 4 5 OA is A. However I can't reconcile why C doesn’t work. Can anyone explain?
  5. What is the best way to solve this in less than two minutes? If s and t are positive integers such that s/t =64.12, which of the following could be the remainder when s is divided by t? 2 4 8 20 45
  6. Are you reading the equation x^2yz+xy^2z+xyz^2 as yz(x^2)+xz(y^2)+xy(z^2) versus x^(2yz)+xy^(2z)+zyz^2? If so, the factorization makes perfect sense. For some reason, I read the equatio the other way.
  7. Thanks - my math must be a bit rusty. Do you mind showing how you were able to factor down to that xyz(x+y+z)
  8. I get B, too. But, for some reason OA is E. Can anyone figure out why B doesn't work?
  9. What is the value of x^2yz+xy^2z+xyz^2 (1) x+y+z=18 (2) xyz=10
  10. Does the decimal equivalent of P/Q, where P and Q are positive integers, contain only a finite number of nonzero digits? (1) P>Q (2) Q=8
  11. Hello, what is the easiest way to attack this question: If N is positive, which of the following is equal to 1/(((n+1)^(1/2))-(n^(1/2))) A. 1 B. (2n+1)^1/2 C. ((n+1)^1/2)/(n^1/2) D.(n+1)^1/2-n^1/2 E. (n+1)^1/2+n^1/2 Cheers! Answer
  12. The original stem should have been 2^x3^y5^z not 2x3y5z. Under the preview, it was formatted correctly but somehow it was lost when the post went through. Thanks all for the help, though.
  13. Any insight on how best to attack this one: The function f is defined for each positive three-digit integer n by f(n) = 2x3y5z, where x, y and z are the hundreds, tens, and units digits of n, respectively. If m and v are three-digit positive integers such that f(m) = 9f(v), then m-v = ? A. 8 B. 9 C. 18 D. 20 E. 80 Cheers! Answer:
