  1. I just finished declining 4 fully funded offers I got. Hopefully, someone from this forum will get one of them.
  2. Not that I am not satisfied with this year's results but it would have been a wiser decision for me not to apply Texas Tech because I learned that their graduate assistantship does not cover tuition waiver. I should have applied a school in the top 15-25 range instead.
  3. Institution: NYU Program: PhD in Economics Decision: Rejected Funding: NA Notification date: 03/21/12 Notified through: E-mail Posted on GC: No Comments: Expected. It would be very nice to be in NYC.
  4. I will attend some flyouts at the end of this month and decide on my final decision then. Although I am going between ArSU and MSU, I have 3 more schools to hear from and will wait till April 15th to see if I can get last minute offers. Thinking some other qualified students can get declined offers, I will decline other offers on the very first day of April.
  5. I imagine that. LOL. No further comment on this issue from my part becuase I do not think I have the right to make this forum more like peot - Tinychat. The forum needs more informative talks. Thanks.
  6. Man, this is just my opinion. Do not get this wrong. Whatever u share there will not be shared in here. Jibber jabber is one reason why I do not like it, and something unimporatant might be important for others. Calm down guys.
  7. I do not like peot - Tinychat. I believe it is detrimental to the objective of this forum.
  8. I have just learned that NYU did not sent out rejections in alphabetical order. I believe that they did it randomly.
  9. [quote name= @kekecib: did you ever get a rejection letter from BC in the mail?[/quote] No but they are gonna send one for sure because one month ago (beacuse of an early offer I got) I inquired my situation there, and the graduate director told me that it is very unlikely that I can get in. Shortly, my rejection from BC is semi-implicit. However, probably, I will get the the snail mail this week. Maybe I got it today because I have not checked my posts today.
  10. Just e-mail them (marjorie) around this time. They are gonna reply promptly and tell you what your situation is. Having said so, NYU last year sent out its rejection on the same day, March 22nd. However, I have seen lots of rejections (10-20) from NYU last year on March 22nd. This year, I have seen rejections from NYU but they are less than 10 in total. I think they are sending out this year in bulks on several days. If they are not doing so, you might be in their waiting list and get an offer on April 14th. I remember Kipfilet got a fellowship offer from them on April 14th (0ne day before the deadline) and accepted it right away. It would be great if someone gets such a offer this year, too.
  11. I would say that if you do not get rejected this week, you will get into Brown next week
  12. Last year they sent out their rejections first, which means you are lucky if you have not heard anything now. Then one week later, they sent out their admissions. I believe it is gonna be like this in this application cycle.
  13. hey man, brown started sending out its rejections. If you did not get an e-mail from them today, I would say you got into Brown.
  14. From what I noticed from past results, UBC sends out first admission decisions around third week of March and then rejections around the end of March. UWO sends out its admission decisions around the last week of March. I have not found useful posts for UoT though from last year. But I believe they also send their admission and rejections in the second half of March. I believe we will hear from one of them next week.
  15. Institution: GSU (Georgia State University) Program: PhD in Economics Decision: Accepted Funding: RAship (Full Tuition Waiver + $18K - $1100 Mandatory Fees) Notification Date: 3/15/2012 Notified through: E-mail Posted on GC: No Comments: I am glad to hear this news. It would have been a better offer if they paid the mandatory fees.
