Thanks! Yeah, I think I'm done taking the test - just concerned about 2 things: the 79 th percentile Quant (just short of the 80th %tile threshold I keep hearing about) and how my score interfaces with my modest 3.2 undergrad GPA. On the other hand, I have 2 years of ibanking and will have two years at a hedge fund by matriculation. Any advice? Thanks.

Hi there, I just took the test and received the same overall score and am also applying for round 2... I'm skeptical that retaking it could be really that helpful in the decision process. Is it your opinion that a 760 would tremendously edge out a 730? My background is: Native, Asian, 25, two years of i-banking, (will have) two years at a hedge fund

Prep 1) Took Kaplan basic course in May '07, but did not really end up using any of the materials or practice tests 2) Studied Official GMAT book over three weeks prior to the test, did all the problem solving and half the data sufficiency. Did not do any verbal problems. 3) Took the the first three retired paper tests during the week before the test: 710, 710, 720 4) Took the downloadable practice CATs three and two days before: 680, 720 On the day of the test (11/28), I spent 2 minutes staring at the last verbal question deciding between two final options and actually ran out of time on it (yeah, I'm an idiot). 44Q=79th percentile 47V=98th percentile Overall=96th percentile
