  1. Ok so could I still have a decent shot at a top-20 school? Or how about if I considered going up to Canada? I heard they have some decent schools aswell, U of T, Schulich, Queens, and Ivey. What do you think my chances would be up there ?
  2. Ok GMATBong, assuming I take Calc I and II, and Microeconomics. By approx what % will this increase my chances, I dont want to do the additional courses and still get stuck in a Tier III school. Get it?
  3. Economic Statistics, Macroeconomics, Finance I and II? Which courses would you recommend taking? Assuming I take additional courses; how much of an impact will this have on my chances? I guess what I'm getting at is if I spend all this time taking 3-5 courses and lets say achieving 4.0 in majority of them, will this completely remove the undergrad GPA concern from the admissions committee? Is it worth spending the time to do this or should I focus on obtaining a high GMAT score? Or do I need both? I am a completely reformed individual and my undergrad GPA is no reflection of who I am today.

  5. I have decided to pursue an MBA and want to know what my chances are moving forward. To the say the very least, I had a turbulent undergrad and graduated with a commerce degree (2.3 GPA) from a top school. I have 4 solid years of work experience and intend to do well on the GMAT. If I am able to score above a 700, will this be enough to offset my very low GPA? I want to know my chances moving forward. Am I still a candidate for a good MBA program or am I wasting my time. To help mitigate the GPA, I have considered taking university courses and getting A's. In the time since graduating, I have volunteered as a board director for two non-profit organizations and am well travelled. Not sure if worth mentioning, but am also a visible minority. Any input is appreciated.
  6. Ok this I understand, but how many courses will be sufficient to show that I am capable of handling the academics of a MBA program? Given the GPA, am I still a candidate for a "GOOD" school?
