  1. looks like a good profile. i think you'd have a good chance at a top 15 program. the most important thing you can work on is to write a stellar SOP and to take related psych/econ/marketing classes (and get good grades in them) - cog psych, social psych, microecon, math econ, behavioral econ, econometrics, marketing, consumer behavior
  2. So I inquired at the three schools I was waitlisted for some kind of response, and even though it is after April 15th I heard no reply back from two of the schools. Rude, no? Oh well, I'm still very satisfied with the program I'll be joining.
  3. for the schools you're looking at, i would suggest going for the 800Q score. the verbal isn't so bad
  4. PROFILE: Field you are applying to: Marketing Type of Undergrad: Econ & Psych Undergrad GPA: 3.5 Type of Grad: Finance Grad GPA: 3.8 GMAT: 760 Math Courses: Econ Courses: Relevant Finance Courses: Other Courses: Letters of Recommendation: Research Experience: Teaching Experience: Research Interests: SOP: Other: RESULTS: Acceptances: MIT, Berkeley, CMU Waitlists: UChicago, NYU Rejections: Stanford
  5. Although the large futures and derivatives exchanges in Chicago make it a pretty important finance center as well. Again, it seems to depend on what kind of research you're interested in.
  6. I was put on a waitlist for a marketing program I applied to. Is there anything one can do after being put on a waitlist? The school didn't ask for more information from me. Do I just sit, wait, and hope? Anyone else waitlisted?
  7. I posted elsewhere that I received an offer from Berkeley, and talked to professors from Stanford and Carnegie Mellon...all PhD programs in Marketing.
  8. I was accepted to Berkeley, and interviewed at Stanford and CMU. (Marketing)
