I got my acceptance letter by post mail yesterday. It's dated March 17, 2009. There are supposed to be TWO letters of acceptance. The first one is from the department. The second one is from the Graduate School. But I did not get anything in my email. And thank U brother. I hope u get your's soon by mail.

Hi guys I've been admission in U of A for M.Eng (1 year course only) in Electrical Engineering. Now, they're asking me to make a course plan b4 the classes. Also, what are the pros and cons of M.Sc(2 years with thesis) vs. M.Eng(1 year coursework)? Also, should I accept the offer?

The Department of ECE has RECOMMENDED you to THE GRADUATE SCHOOL, which has the final say. So...most probably...you'll get the admission

So, please tell me from your experiences, what are my odds for getting admissions into US & Canadian universities for MS in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Petroleum Engineering. Also, can anybody tell me about some hi ranked universities specializing in ECE & Petroleum in Canada? I know abt US anyway. Please give me an honest answer. & Thanks for this awesome website. I'll never forget it and I'll refer anybody to this forum. p.s. I'm never going to take GRE again. Once was enough. It was an excruciating xperience.

I have waited ONE year for this test which I'm going to take on May 26, 08. I spent 4 months JUST for Barron's 3500 vocabulary building and then I kept revising it up until now, so I have quite a command over it. I have practiced a lot in Verbal section & I'm sure I'm going to to do well. Now, I spent 2 months going through all the definitions, practice exercises and everything in Barron's & PowerPrep, both of which are the BEST for Quantitative section. My average correct answers in the beginning were 18 out of 28. Later I jumped to 22 out of 28 but could never surpass that. I bought a few tests from online test prep websites but still I'm not improving. I don't know what to do now as I read that real test questions are much harder than Barron's & PowerPrep. Can anybody help me before tomorrow, May 25, 1:00pm GMT? I mean, any kind of tips. I have a problem that I usually solve the comparison questions instead to comparing them.

P.S. I have no idea about OAs

Hi all. I am BE (Electrical). For GRE, I built up my vocabulary from Barron's world list in 3 months. I am into 3rd month of quantitative preparation. I've done all the exercises in Barron's, Kaplan and any online test I could find. I've been doing LOTS of studying the concepts from POWERPREP, Barron's again and again. But I always manage to do 20/30 correct in verbal & 18/28 in quantitative. I never go up or down. Stuck on 10 wrong answers on each section. I took PowerPrep CAT test much later into preparation and scored 710 in quantitative. That was the highest I scored in quantitative practice test ever. I'm taking my test in 1st or 2nd week of May no matter what because I need to apply. Please tell me how to improve. I am just STUCK.

Hei all, The test center closest to me offers GRE PBT. & the CBT GRE center is 400km far from my home. So, what should I got for? Which one is better and why? Thanks
