  1. Thanks, but I checked PSID earlier and it did not have the variables that I was looking for. I'll check HRS.
  2. I'm thinking of ResearchTopic related in intergenerational transfers.. anyone know good database to work with? that contains household information?
  3. good economics journals written by Undergrads?
  4. in other words, would SAS base certification worth the effort?
  5. Thinking of getting SAS base certification to increase my chance to get into the FEDs RA program. Anyone know about this testing? How much would it benifit my resume? I am an undergrad junior btw.
  6. Hello TMers, I got a summer internship offer from BCG, also research job in my school. I am torn between two choices for this summer. However, I better note that research job is very mechanical (data gathering/entering): 1. Do BCG 2. do RA job What would be better for Ph.D prep? Note that I already have RA experience for about 1.5 yrs. Thanks ahead!
  7. Hello TMers, I'm an underagrad at one of these schools (UVA UCLA UMICH UTAustin). I'm thinking of retaking Calc3 (multivariable) of which I have taken it in my drunken freshman year(I got B-). I am an upcoming senior now (Math and Econ) I did well in other higher level math courses. My current GPA is 3.65 (my freshmen GPA is about 3.0), and math GPA is 3.4. If I retake this course (and get A in it, seems pretty easy now), I can erase B- and replace it with an A, which will boost up my GPA up to 3.70 and math GPA of 3.5. How important is overall GPA? Obviously, retaking calc3 does not look very good. However, 3.65 and 3.70 seems like a BIG difference. Any opinions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead.

  10. Hello TMers, I'm an undergrad junior, and I'm thinking of getting a RA job position upon graduation, to fill up my deficiencies before I apply for Ph.D programs. Anyone took RA position post undergrad ? where? How did it help you? Did you take classes there? If youd did take classes, was it managable to do both work and study? Thanks !!!!
