Took the GMAT today and got a 650(49, 31) . Math Section went pretty well , but the Verbal section some how turned out to be bad.Goofed it up big time!! A 31 on Verball!!:( I usually got around 38-40 in my mock tests on the verbal section.Even yesterday , got a 740(49, 41) on GMAT prep 1 . Didn't expect to get anything below 700.:rolleyes: Hope to do better the second time. i always thought my english was good.. Am wondering now..!!! :hmm: Here's a list of the marks i got in my mock exams: GMAT Prep - took them many times- ranged from 630 to 740 .(u can get the software to give new questions each time, by deleting the practice test files - .actx and .txt- from C:/program files/GMAT ) Crack GMAT Diagnostic: 575 Kaplan - 560, 640,650 Princeton- 570, 640, 650, 690,

its a GMAT Prep question. The answer couldnt be wrong. Even i marked C for this. brrr... i have the exam tomorrow.. and am still unable to do very well in DS.. i have decided to jus go in for a little simplification before substituing values . In this case, adding a 1 both sides and simplifying , reduces it to x/(x+y) >1 from here i can guess.. it becomes simpler to substitute and see through the ans.

When two circles intersect such that each passes through the otehrs centre, then the angle made by the radii at the centre s 120. It forms a rhombus with angles 120 , 120 , 60, 60.And the diagonals are 'r' and 'r *(root of 3)'

Yeah B should be enough by itself. if x were to be 2, then x-1= 1. So x*(x-1) = 2 which implies a*y = 2 . In this case, y will be 2. The given condition is well satisifed in that y > 1.
