Hi Guys I was wondering if anyone can help me ... I have just found out that I cleared my Mpje yesterday noon and I have already cleared Naplex ...so I am waiting for my lisence to be issued ... and I was wondering why not yet ...Any body knows how long does it need to my lisence to be issued ...how lond does the board need so I can start looking for work...I am in kansas ...but if any body from any other state can help I appreciate it Thanks Seleen

HI I just cleared MPJE kansas And find out about the result today.... I thought that there is nobody from kansas ... I recommend a law book for Debra Feinberg it is called Pharmacy Law.....It helped me a lot ... read it from cover to cover... there are some other regulations that you need to know that are stricter in kansas state law bec they are stricter those you can find at kansas web site...(there is like 300 pages but you only need the important ones ...like u keep the rxs and rxs for contrl for 5 years (stricter than federal which is two years) ...how long does the pharmacist have to inform the board about change the address... Hi I highly recommend Pronto Pass for math... It is very useful and cover a lot of math that you will be asked for in Naplex.... You need to practise a lot of math ... and Yes go for pronto Pass at least for Math..... Best of Luck Seleen

Hi there After long three months of continous full time studying with the help of my husband and sister and mom ...and them putting up with my contious absence of the house and basically living in the library all the time ... top this a week of painfull waiting for the result... I passed the Naplex.... Sorry for posting a little late...but I felt that I was out of life ...away from all communication... tilll the minute I found out...so I had a lot of catch up to do ...before everything is shut off for not paying the bills... and friends and family forget about me... so Here I am back.... I will share everything I did with you ...wishing everybody the best of luck.... I used Prontopass for math... gone over it for 3 times.... I used calculation math chapter in APHA and answered all the questions at the end of the chapter twice... Then I used Appleton and Lange (the yellow question book) and I amswered all the math questions and all the profiles questions and some of the other questions... Math...Math ...MAth it is very important and it can make you or break you and I used Pronto Pass (calculation)... I truly recommend it for Naplex... know MEQ...ANC...Isotonicity...Ib...grams ...mg ...% ...1:1000...etc...and the only way to master math is by practise so you can catch the tricks...the exam is full of tricks ... so you have to be very careful of the units and how to use them and what the Question wants.... READ THE QUESTION TWICE......even if you read it fast ...but still read it twice... ***for the clicnical part I used RX PREP..... they are wonderful.... I needed some encouragment to set and study and definetly the online courses and lectures are the best way to do it.... ofcourse there is nothing complete in the world ... but if you find any note that it is not there in the Rx prep u can add it ... Also Aphha is a very good resource ....but I did not use it ... because I preferred liseten to lectures and then memorizing ... like I am in real school.... ** I answered all the questions on the end of each chapters of the APHA especially the disease state ** my exam was from all over the place.... so you have to study and know every disease states... like migrane, GIT , dpression everything....u never know what they are going to ask **had one or two questions about HIV and 3 or 4 about cancer ,,,must have answered them right... ** know anemia and kidney disease and kidney failures medication..... ** A true advice ,,,try to answer a lot of questions and see as much as you can profiles so you would not be shocked in the test ....know what lab tests means....you do not have to know them by heart ... but you have to know what are their interpretation means.... ** Basically imagine yourself in the pharmacy a very reputable pharmacy and your manager is there and there is your responibility when patients come over and ask you about a medication and this patient might be a migrane or asthmatic or on warfarin.... u know ...I followed this way and tried to ignore that I am studying for Naplex but studying to be a good faithful pharmacist that might be asked for advice or help at any time..... **KNOW digoxin....warfarin...Theophylline... AMG ....Inducers...inhibitors... Basically a lot of brand ...gernieric... youhave to practise everyday.... MAth.....dont forget about it ....you have to master it ..especially if you are not good at math like me ,..then you have to practise a lot ... time your self... seriously ... i hope that helps Seleen

Hi I was wondering if there is anyone from Kansas here or know anyone in kansas ... I have done the test on the 19th and still havent got the result yet. I know I have done good ... not bad at all.. especially the math....which there was a lot of it .... but I am scared to death now... I have heard rumors that if you have a delay in your result back this might mean you have failed ,... I wonder if this is a true thing or not Seleen

Hi I think that is a good start. well my result is not out yet so I can not be of a lot of help . but the rxprep online will give you a guide to what to go through. step by step and I think it encouraged me to study. it definetly not enough for the math. since it needs a lot of practise. so you have to go for pronto pass for math. but clinical and counseling points definetly go for Rx prep. they are awesome. beside that you need a lot of memorising. I hope I will pass so I can give you more advice. Thank Seleen

Yes please do not give up ... he is right maybe listeing to lectures and someone tells you what to study will really help... You can go for Rx prep ... they have online lectures... and that will definetly help... May be try to answer some cases questions that will help too
