hi,
i plan to take the AGRE on Nov 8,this year.
i havnt registered for the test yet but i plan to do so at the earliest.
i also plan to start studying right now.
i have found the links provided by CalmLogic very helpful and that is all the material im gonna follow.
my field of interest- Distributed computing,Networking,databases..
i would say im good with OS concepts, computer networks,dbms...taking a course in embedded systems this sem..n studying advanced microprocessor...so the concepts r very fresh in my mind...
im quite comfortable with oops, algorithms, data structures...need to revise some concepts...but that shouldnt b very difficult...
TCS,compilers -my knowledge is fair. but i havnt really done in-depth study. so i think i need to focus more on it...
i really need to study discrete maths n all maths related subjects..also i havnt studied Software engg at all..have a course on it this sem..thats it..
Based on this, it would b great if someone could tell me :-
1) exactly in which order should i take these tests one after the other...
(what should i start with....what should i save for the end like the ets test etc)
2)names of some GATE books that i could refer which include MockGate tests...
3)which books to refer for Software Engg from the AGRE point of view....
4)i have the Schaum series for Discrete Maths..is that enough?
