  1. My suggestion would be to not just keep taking tests but to spend about 4-5 hours going over your test! I know this sounds like a lot of work but you have to be able to understand ALL of the questions...even the ones you got right (you might have made a good guess!) Good luck!
  2. I am sure that there are some regional schools that would take that score! I guess it depends on your GPA too. I graduated from a great regional school and only had a 540 with a 3.6 GPA. Good luck!
  3. Since you are already scoring pretty high I wouldn't recommend a full class, however Manhattan GMAT offers one-day (2-3 hr) seminars called "The Quest for 750" or something like that. They have them for quant, DS and sentence correction. Maybe you would benefit from something like that?? I am doing the full course through self study right now and I really like it. I would also recommend buying their books in the areas that you are weak. You can buy them on amazon.com for cheap!
  4. I am re-studying for the GMAT too...what a pain!! Well, at least we know what to expect!
  5. I agree, this is an interesting topic and one that I have thought of often as I actually work in admissions for a law school. My thinking here (which may be incorrect) is that US students in this situation are the minority since there are so many more international applicants. So would the US students actually be at an advantage? Interesting to think about.
  6. Hello! I am applying this fall for 2009 admissions. I am just curious to see where other people are in the process? I would like to get my applications out in October but right now I am just researching schools and studying for the GMAT. How about you?
  7. Thank you so much! I will check them both out.
  8. I would love to know that too!!
  9. Does anyone know of or recommend any good books on the PhD Admission process, thinking about getting PhD, the life of a PhD student, etc? thanks!
  10. What schools did you apply to and when did you apply?
  11. Thanks to everyone for keeping this thread going! As you start applying to schools, please keep us updated on your progress. pauldc - I lived in Indianapolis for 8 years and just recently moved to Ohio. Are you considering Indiana University or Purdue? I have been told that Purdue has a good OB program and IU's business school overall is ranked high. Good luck!
  12. thank you so much for your insight! I am excited to take the class (...well, as excited as someone can be for studying the GMAT!):)
  13. thank you for your recommendations!
  14. I am hoping to get into an organizational behavior program.
  15. Good morning! I am thinking about purchasing the Manhattan Online Self Study (where you buy the recordings of the online classes along with the material.) I already purchased the books online at amazon (a lot cheaper!!) but haven't cracked them yet. Is the online class worth the money or can you get what you need from the books themselves? I have a lot of work to do...I took the GMAT over 4 years ago and got a 540. I only used kaplan and PR books and didn't study that hard. Needless to say I still graduated from a decent b-school with decent grades. Now I would like to go for my PhD and need to get into "the 700 club!" I hope I can do it!!! Any advice on the Manhattan programs would be greatly appreciated!
  16. Thank you for all of the responses! I am interested to hear what schools people are applying to for OB? All of the rankings I have found are for MBA programs and not PhD. I'll be honest in saying that I am not looking to get into a top 10 or even 20 program. Can anyone suggest good middle of the road schools to check out? Thanks!
  17. Thanks. I am interested in hearing from others who are looking into OB/Management programs...are you out there!?!
  18. Hello! This is my first time posting but I've been looking for a few months. I am looking to get my PhD in Organizational Behavior. I have't seen many postings on OB. What schools are you looking at and what is your GMAT? Is it true that your GMAT can be a little lower than those applying to programs in Finance? It's been 5 years since I took my GMAT for my MBA so I have to take it again. At the time my score was in the low 600's. Thanks!
