  3. Hi guys, Thanks so much for your replies.I am not giving up, it was a lack of concentration that took away the best of me.I will be taking the GMAT in May again. The easy questions were getting wrong in the test because of me shaddy start to the test.I have used the following for my preparation: Kaplan Premier Kaplan 800 OG 11 OG QUANT OG VERBAL Manhattan SC Kaplan Verbal Workbook-just the SC GMAT Sets I wanted to know if I should go through the Powerscore CR bible.I have got OG 12th edition ,I will be going through the new questions as well taking a few more practice tests to build up my confidence.I know each section of the GMAT but somehow i let the test take over me instead of me taking control of the test.It was my first encounter with the GMAT I had a little bit anxiety also by the time I reached the Verbal section I was a bit tired but not that tired to loose my concentration.I always take the test at one stretch I do get tired by the time I reach the verbal section but I can manage most of the times. Thank you so much for your replies ,I would welcome any more suggestions. Thanks and Regards, manyu
  4. Hi guys, I took the GMAT on April 16, was pretty confident that I will get a 700+ score.I had taken the GMAT Prep and Power Prep Practice tests a week before the exam.My scores were as follows: PowerPrep-test1-750 (Q 51 V 40) PowerPrep-test2-760 (Q 49 V 46) GmatPrep -test1-750 (Q 50 V 41) GmatPrep -test2-720 (Q 50 V 38) On the test day the AWA section was good, however there was a little anxiety during my first essay but I soon overcame that I was able to finish the essays on time.During the Quant section some of the questions were lengthy had to understand the questions first although the solution was straigth forward. After the Quant section I was a bit tired but wasnt exhausted. When i was about to start the verbal section I said to myself now is the time to give my best,I dont know what happened when i started the verbal section I was not able to put in my full concentration.I got the first 3-4 questions wrong and was loosing my confidence, at the 6th or 7th question I decided to put in whatever I have and really started concentrating.I started getting questions right but was taking more time for each, therefore at the end of the section I only had 2 mins with 4 qestions remaining and 3 out 4 were CRs.I finished them in a hurry as I was running out of time.I knew I had'nt done my best but was really disheartned to see a 650. Guys please tell me how I can improve myself, I really need a 700+ and I know i am not that weak at verbal I can atleast manage a 35 scaled score.I want to take the GMAT in a months time so please tell me what can I do to make sure I get a 700+ score next time.Awaiting a response from yourside. Thanks & Regards, manyu
