  1. What I felt is that one needs deliberate practice in Quants...the problems are not hard but practice makes a man perfect...Now I am regretting if I had this much practice in verbal also...
  2. in the 2nd problem as the ND is symmetric on both sides of mean so 50%below the mean and 1/2% above the mean(coz. (84-72)/12=1) ie 100%-(50%+34%) =16% students weigh more than 84pounds...300*16%=48.
  3. I referred BARRON's, NOVA, and DR Rajus GRE...
  4. hi taken GRE today...got V450,Q780...want to apply for PhD in ORIE in Utexas, Penny State, UCB and GATECH...can any one tell about the chance of getting assistance...
  5. its from the total cost...I mean profit on cost not on price... so 700*100/2800=25%
  6. for Q 1 the ans is B... There is only one option correct 1, 7yr old and 6, 11 yr old...
  7. Ok Thanks Sullitude... When r u taking GRE???I am having it on dec 1st...
  8. Ok I think its my fault... Can you please clarify me one thing? There is a question at the last in that q7 that what is the least values? and col A and Col B are completely different as they dont mention about least or most. Can the questions in real GRE come in this form??? Please clarify...
  9. For Q7 we can proceed in this way... Mean of both the data set is 70 now deviations for the 1st data set are -20,-10,0,10,20 for 2nd data set are -20,-15,0,15,20 as SD is root mean squared deviation so minus sign has no effect. Its clearly visible that for col B data set the SD will be more as there are deviations 15 in place of 10 for the first...
  10. I think for q3 its D As it s having multiple solutions. N=1 gives 8N9=819 and 562+257=819 gives B 592+257=849 so Y=9 and N=4 and Y+N=13 not 9. correct me if i m wrong...
  11. For q1 how did u get P(none of them even)=1/4? Please explain...
  12. nice job...where the earlier wordlist episodes...
  13. Thanks Boss for the lucid way of representation...
  14. Anyone Please solve 1. Given numbers from 1 to 10. Two numbers are selected from these 10 numbers and they can be same also. What is the probability that at least one of them is even? A. 1/2 B. 3/4 C. 1/4 & so on.... 2.If the numbers 1, 5, 6, 8 & 9 are used once and are used to form a three digit number 't' and a two digit number 'r', then what is the minimum value of t - r? A. 56 B. 58 C. 70 D. 73 & so on... 3.A certain game has multiple rounds, in each round a participant receives either 2 points or 4 points, the average points received by one particular participant for all the rounds is 2.2 Col A : 9 times the number of rounds in which the participant got 4 points Col B: the number of rounds in which the participant got 2 points Waiting for reply...
