  5. Of the 60 animals on a certain farms , 2/3 are either pigs or cows how many of the animals are cows? 1. The farm has more than twice as many cows as it has pigs 2. The farm has more than 12 pigs I have two problems: first: does statement 1 means p>2c or c>2p? Second: we can solve it with first statement , I think it must be A. If p>2c than p+c=40 ( 60*2/3=40) then we have c>=13 Also we have p>2c so c must be 13 and p 26 , plz comment
  6. A shipment of 1,500 heads of cabbage, each of which was approximately the same size, was purchased for $600. The day the shipment arrived, 2/3 of the heads were sold, each at 25 percent above the cost per head. The following day the rest were sold at a price per head equal to 10 percent less than the price each head sold for on the day before. What was the gross profit on this shipment? (A) $100 (B) $115 © $125 (D) $130 (E) $135 this is my approach: 600/1500=0.4 cost of each head 1000*0.4*1.25=600 500*0.4*1.25*0.9=225 600+225=825 825-600=225 can anybody tell me where am i doing wrong?
