I am seeking a bachelor's degree in the Advertising. One of my uncle lives there and has well succeeded in the jewellery industry. I doubt I'l be aloowed to apply to this university, as they require ACT/SAT score, and I don't have it. BTW, as you stated you don't know anything about Webster University in Thailand, but maybe its web site will give you a better introduction about this university. It's not so far from Bangkok. ::Webster University Thailand::

My problem is that although I carried out the requirements, I still suspect that the score is low. I don't know whether I should take it again in February or not :(

Ok, today I've received my score and it's 89. The first time I got 85. Here are my scores: May 4th Reading - 17 Listening - 24 Speaking - 20 Writing - 24 Sept 28th Reading - 26 Listening - 20 Speaking - 19 Writing 24 I have two universities, one requires 61, another - 80. What should I do, stop re-taking the test and send the score report to the universities, or take it again to score 100? :hmm:

I just wonder how students learn to complete professional writing assignments (such as reseasrch paper, statistics exploration, report, etc) at teh university. I mean should students already know all this stuff or they gain it in their freshman year?

Has anybody written a personal statement/essay task for the undergraduate admissions? I just need some advice how to write it properly including all necessary details.

I am Armenian from Russia, and I am not a fool to compare Thailand with US, as I admit they are very different countries. I just need some info or opinion about the potential of this country and its economy, market development and business.

I don't know so much about it, so I simply used my knowledge gained from the test preparation about renewable energy resources. The integrated question about pharmscists was, althogh easy, a little bit confusing. I wrote short (180-190) and very structured essay. I didn't even get time to write conclusion. But the independent one was a real killer, they aren't supposed to give such difficult tasks, are they?

I scored 85, the requirement is 80, but I want it to be as perfect as it's possible.

I need at least 100. My integrated was too structured and short (180-190 words). What you think about my supporting ideas for the independent response? I need to save some money for my application procedure, but I guess I did well on the Reading and Listening, and ran out of time in some Speaking tasks. I really hate such situations, in which I have no idea what to do :( P.S. The funny thing is that during my first time test I didn't do so good with the Reading (I had known that before they reported the score), guessed in the Listening (successfuly), was not bad in the Speaking and succeeded in Writing, as questions weren't so hard.

It was indeed not so easy to write about. Thanfully I have learnt a lot of info about hydrogen and the wind power during my preparation (Barron has a lot of this stuff). I surely included aspects like environmental issues with fossil fuels and electricity and the advantages of my alternatives as the main supporting ideas. I also mentioned the affect on people and nature, and wrote about how it's important to advertise this new resources, so people would be more willing to obtain them. Oh so it's all again. I am afraid I will be able to register for January or February, as I learn my score on Oct 17th. the problem is that I will need to finish my application procedure by Spring and I will lose a lot of time, if I don't get the needed score :doh:

My response was mostly focused on providing alternative solutions that would be even better approach than both fossil fuel or electricity, I am talking about the wind power and hydrogen. My issue is that I am afraid I didn't get the question right and wrote the stuff they didn't require. What about that option of re-taking the test, do you mean I can re-take it as it was (same questions, passages) in less than one month, or i need to repeat the whole procedure as it usually is (same as registering for regular test)?

Today I've taken TOEFL, hope I will score t least 100. But I have a question. As I am afraid I could not understand the idea of what was asked in the independent question of the Writing section, but I still wrote my essay, can I request ETS to give me a chance to take it again? Or can I at least ask them to re-evaluate my essay?
