    (4,4) would be -1 slope. C.
  2. http://www.www.urch.com/forums/../tm_images/reputation/reputation_pos.gif There is a swimming pool in the shape of an upright right circular cylinder whose base diameter is 20ft and depth(of cylinder) is 4ft. What is the volume of water, if the water is present at a uniform depth of 3ft 6inches? area of base in ft X 3.5 ft notice its 3.5 not 3.6
  3. maybe find slope of 0,0 to 2,1?
  4. 1. How many positive integers are both multiples and divisors of 64? Answer: Hey, what are these 5 integers?
  5. 20 to 80 61 spaces 1. 42 spaces brings u to 60th percentile 2. while 74 is only -6 spaces away from 100th percentile to me it seems that -6 spaces will be nearer 100th percentile than at 60th percentile given #1. .. but we don't know distribution so nvm.
  6. if 48 is 48th percentile 49 is 49th percentile 50 is 50th percentile what is the median of the observation? 49 what is the median of the distribution? 50 (by definition)
  7. If X=Y and (0,0) then slope = 0. Equal. But since we also have (-x,-y) (x,y) where slope has to be neg. so D.
  8. Definitions: 1A percentile is the value of a variable below which a certain percent of observations fall. 2The median is the middle of a distribution: half the scores are above the median and half are below the median Imo, its 17.1 49th percentile.. closest to 50th percentile. Even if normally distributed.

    Took GRE

    Took GRE and got 700Q (I just needed 650). Problem is I bombed the verbal so I have to take it again. :doh: Anyways, no combination problems at all. No work problems either. I noticed several problems were percentage change. One age question (tricky!). One AP question. There was one where knowing trapezoid formula would expedite answering. Lots of x>y>z comparisons questions. Here were my Q scores which I took day before d-day. ETS 1: 690 ETS 2: 650 Barrons 1: 550 Barrons 2: 600 In short, on actual test I got the highest quantitative score ever and lowest verbal score ever. In my prac, my verbs never touched below 550(I need 550). Damn. :mad: Oh yeah, i ran out of scratch paper while taking test. Hope this helps.

    Qc

    y = x + 1/x 0 Col A: value of y Col B: 100 Can't try 10 but 1/1000 yields y>100 D. :)
  11. 5. If a^-3 +a^2 + 9 = 0 then Col A: The value of 'a' Col B: -1/3 a^-1 =-9 1/a=-9 a=-1/9 A
  12. 6. There is a series of odd numbers from 1 to n where n is a odd number. What is the probability that a number selected at random will be an odd number? Ans 1 {1,3,5} all odd {1,3,5...101} all odd
  13. You are right. Your solution without the calculator please. ;)
  14. Just to explore this prob as a weighted. n1 = # of girls n2 =#of boys n1 + n2 = 100 (n1*.55*55 + (100-n1)*.45*45)/100 Problem is still unsolvable since we don't know how many girls there are.
