Hi Bve, divine06, pharma100 and rxp2010 You all took Cpje after Jan 1st. Did you guys study the new laws on board's website that are effective after 1st Jan 2011? Is it ok if I skip that part and just concentrate on weissman and the script? Please reply me, my exams is in April and I am very much confused and scared too. Thank you.

Is there anyone who is taking CPJE after 1st April 2011? CA board of pharmacy has changed syllabus of CPJE after April 1st. Please let us discuss what is new after April. I am very much scared since I have no idea how much new they will ask on exam. Moreover, there are new laws that are effective in Jan 2011 on board's website and I have no clue whether I should do that or not. Dear exam takers, please come forward.

Could you please tell me whether Weissman- Guide to california community pharmacy law 2010-2011 is correct book for CPJE or not? I am planning to take CPJE in March.

I am really scared after your experience, my NAPLEX is after 12 days and I have not taken chasenaplex yet. aquaforce- can you please tell me what do you mean by resource questions? Never heard anything like this before for NAPLEX. Did you get any statistics questions? :crazy: navi05: can tell me would it be possible for me take chasenaplex now? I mean I only have 12 days left and I am planning to go through APHA once again in this time. Do you think I will be able to complete chasenaplex exams with APHA?:crazy:

hi suhana and others Suhana, since you just passed NAPLEX, I am asking you: Shall we use Ideal body weight or actual in the calculations? for eg, calculation of aminoglycosides dosing. My NAPLEX is in 10 days and I dont know what to do. Very confused. Thanx a lot.

congrates king can you please tell me what kind of calculator you got in real NAPLEX? was it a basic one or scientific? Did it have functions like square root and cubic root?

Hi Pretty I dont have stoklosa but I have tried to solve your problem. I hope the ans is correct. Weigh 120 mg of atropine and mix it with 1080 mg of lactose (total- 1200 mg). Weigh 120 mg of this mixture and that will contain 12 mg of Atropine.

hi dyad I am also planning to take NAPLEX in december. I have just started the preparation from APHA, Lange Q & A. CPR is good but just too many details to remember. I would say focus on drugs for OTC. For maths I am not sure which one to follow. Right now I am doing maths from APHA.

bundleofsorrow Dont ever think of kissing a train or something like that. Nothing is as worth as that. NAPLEX is just a small part of life, not entire life. Your life doesnt exist because of NAPLEX. Never loose hope. Never. If you couldnt make it forth time, try harder. Start from sratch. I would say CPR (that most of us read during FPGEE) is the best book for that. Try to concentrate on drug part of CPR. I mean MOA, SE, indications, contraindications etc and then move to APHA. Start taking notes of imp points while studying and then keep some time like half hour for reviewing the notes each day. You can make it. It might be difficult but not impossible. All the very best.

dear apap Yes when generic enters the market, we still need to remember the brand (only if brand is also on market). but for some drugs -eg- check bumetanide in orange book, brand bumex is already d/ced and only generic is on market. so my question is in such cases do we still need to remember bumex?

hi Naplex takers I have just started reading for Naplex from APHA-6th edition. Since this book was published 2 years ago, many of the brands are discontinued and generics have entered the market. In such case should we still remember the discontinued brand drug name? I am really confused about this. Already there are lots of brand names to remember. Please help me.

TO ALL WHO ARE PLANNING TO TAKE NAPLEX IN THIS YEAR I have APHA 6th edition, just saw in Barnes and nobles that Apha 7th edition has arrived. My question is it ok to use APHA 6th edition or I should purchase the 7th edition? Can anyone tell me how different the 7th edition would be? please answer my question.
