  1. the quant section was a little harder this time , since I didnt pay too much attention to it during the two weeks prep. I got a bunch of permutation, combination and probability questions. (atleast 4-5). the first question was a geometry data sufficiency question :o OG + kaplan + high school probability = > 45 on quants. good luck
  2. This is the second time I am taking the GMAT. I got a 660 the first time, took it on Dec 24th. I studied for two weeks after the holidays more took it again. got 700. I am :) pleased. I am applying to UT part time MBA. I was thinking of applying to Kellog's full time, but I dont think this score is good enough for kellog's. anyway good luck to all of you.
  3. Hi David, thanks for answering all our questions patiently. i have a quick question for you. I just took the GMAT have a 660. my undergrad ( from india) GPA 3.0 , I have masters in MIS GPA 3.6. 3 1/2 work experience with Dell Inc. have been actively involved in community and volunteer activities throught out my career. I have good recommendation letters. i am the captain of a div 4 soccer team. the question I have is, I prepared for the GMAT for 3 weeks, I know I can do better if I can prepare for another 2-3 weeks. I am planning to apply part time to McCombs UT austin. their average score is 670 , gpa is 3.4 , work experience is 5 years. Do you think I need to take the GMAT again and try to improve my score to 700+ before applying. please let me know your thoughts about it. thanks in advance for your help Raj
  4. math section is about the same difficulty as the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip]. i solved about 60% of the [tooltip=Official Guide]OG[/tooltip] excercises. barron's , princeton were good math refreshers. atleast I got a lot of probability questions in my actual test. geometry was easy. try to practice as many data sufficiency as possible, there were a couple of questions where 'C' was the obvious choice but on closer analysis it was either 'A' or 'B'. I am glad I caught myself. get any good math refresher book ' Kaplan' was a good one.
  5. The quant section was fun. lots of probablility questions, so I figured I was doing alright. the verbal section was allright until I saw the score :yuck: reading comprehension about 5 essays -- was good critical reasoning was alright i guess I must have missed every single SC because thats the only way V was so low. I am thinking of applying part - time @ UT austin. I am waiting to talk to the recruiting officer about my scores. I know I can do atleast a 700. I prepared for 3 weeks I think another two more weeks will help me hit 700 :) good luck everybody.
  6. Practice Tests: Kaplan 570, 590, 580 Princeton : 733 PP : 660 actual test :660 (q 46 v 35) i prepared for 3 weeks. I think another couple more weeks will help me reach 700. raj
