  1. The steps are 1. Assemble and submit all the documents as required by the NABP. See http://www.nabp.net/ftpfiles/bulletins/FPGECAppRegBulletin.pdf. 2. Pass the FPGEE exam. 3. You will need to obtain passing score for either the TOEFL IBIT exam or both the TOEFL exam and the TSE exam. Please note that you do not need to pass the FPGEE first before taking the TOEFL. 4. At this point you will receive a FPGEC certificate which is roughly an equivalent of having graduated from a US Pharmacy school. 5. You will need to register your FPGEC qualifications with the State you want to practice in. 6. Obtain sufficient number of internship hours. The number of hours varies from state to state. 7. Please note that some states allow you to begin internship hours immediately once you are qualified to take the FPGEE exam. I.e., you don't have to wait to get the FPGEC certificate before beginning internship in these states. I recommend you google the regulations of the Board of Pharmacy of the State that you want to practice in. 8. Pass the NAPLEX exam which will test your pharmacy science knowledge. IMO, the NAPLEX exam is much more difficult than the FPGEE exam. My wife passed the FPGEE with a minimal amount of studying. For the NAPLEX, she had to study hard for 8+ months and had to take it twice. 9. Pass the law exam for the State. Some states use the FPJE while and some states have their own exams. 10. Please note that a minority of states allow you to take the NAPLEX and/or law exam prior to completing the internship requirement. 11. At this point you will be a Registered Pharmacist for that State. It is a long and drawn out process. Took my wife 2+ years to complete the process. - -

  3. It depends on the jurisdiction (the state). You have to specify jurisdiction when you register for NAPLEX. After receiving your NAPLEX application, NABP will clear it with the jurisdiction whether you are allowed to take the exam or not. In Virginia, you cannot take the NAPLEX until you have received your FPGEC certificate AND complete the internship hours. I am not familiar with California regulation. You will have to look that up by yourself.
  4. Hi. I just passed my exam with 111. It was my second attempt at NAPLEX (got 44 the first time). I used only Protopass materials for my second try. I am so happy it is over.
