I am scheduled to take the test in 2 weeks, i was completely unaware of the changes to include fill-in answers. are these already calculated into the score? or just used for data collection before they can be used in determining a score? this seems really really hard, much harder than multiple choice wheere i can make intuitive or educated guess. ihow can ets make fill in answers without providing calculators- that leaves all this room open for really small computational errors that dont reflect analytical reasoning. ive been scoring in the 50th percentile on the official computer based preptests- im probably going to do even worse with the fill-ins! i come from a totally non-math feild and have not done math in over 7 years. interestingly i scored in the 97th percentile on my math section for the SAT way back when, but i just didnt expect me to forget EVERYTHING and the test to be this hard. secondly- i see all these posts about real/official/genuine gre questions from october- what does this mean? are they released questions? do test takers have really good memories and remember the questions? or are they just made up questions for practice? are they questions reused? is this cheating? is this helpful for a november tester? eeeeek.
