Hi everyone, Please help me in this issue. I have a conditional offer from a UK university that require 6.5 in IELTS or equivalent. I have recieved my TOEFL score and it was 81/120. Now, I want to know if this score is enough or no. Actually I refered to ETS Website ( IELTS & TOEFL comparison) and found that 6.5 is equal to 79 but most UK universities consider 6.5 ielts is equal to 89 !!. any recommendations ? btw, I send an email to addmission office but still not have any response. shalhoob

for me , I took my exam on 24 Jan. and waiting results on 13 feb the hardest part to me was Reading section where 5 passages given in that exam In speaking part i was disturbed in 1st Q although i read this question in practice :blush: . In writing section , i wrote good format but reasons I select were not that strong to persuade readers ( racers ) . but listening was quite fine. it is the 2nd attempt to me. regards

Thanks for this replay , and hope that we all pass it with high marks . actyally I have sent a message to ETS regarding this issue , at least to avoid this kind of complicated exams in future. I wish you do well sara but take care in case of facing 5 reading passages , be quick and focous. regards shalhoob

Hello everbody , I just came from teofl exam center in my country. In fact , exam was very hard and I mean it. 5 Reading Passages were too much for me. It is not fair to give that for some students and give 3 reading passages on other date for other students!. Gentelmen , How many listening passages Do you think we faced today ? 6 passages ( 2 conversations and 4 lectures ) 34 questions as usual ? No. it was more than that. I think we had more than that by 2 more passages! where questions appeared more than 34 Integrated writing was quite tuff to me. I can't beleive that after days of study it comes like this. Now I figure out why some students prefer taking ILETS exam instead.:hmm: shalhoob

I have recieved mine yesterday 6/Jan./2009 .My test was taken on 30 Nov. already I got my results after 15 buissness days.my country is SAUDI ARABIA So i assume that you will recieve yours by 10 Jan or 5 days after as maximum shal

hello everybody.I am wondering that when i make pause for listening lecture or conversation during toefl exam , would time be considered or no :hmm: ? can I spend more time for using pause feature to write down every word then I can read them all and continue the questions after where time would be resumed ! shalhob

you could check scores comparision between IBT,CBT & PBT on ETS website btw, when was your test taken ? i had my test on 30 Nov. and still no results shown ! shalhoob

hi. If I'm not wrong ,there was a question about birds & mammals memories ! also , a topic was on 2 groups of people who had traveld in the past to remote place and lately based on their way of eating! -food- remaining things of thier tools, it's discovered that there was an other group of people lived close to the 1'st group without knowing each other! :hmm: -anyway , it was quite hard to me. especially speaking section :crazy:
