Thanks patito. so far there have been no interviews...only disappointing responses from district supervisors. Yes, nobody wants to spend money on training graduate interns currently. Hope that the situation changes. I also contacted some hospitals...no luck there. Will try and try till i die Hey fafy, I am in houston. Actually south of houston towards galveston. I was planning to try in Dallas next because, i used to live in Dallas before I moved here. I thought that since there were no pharmacy schools in Dallas, getting an internship should be relatively easier unlike Houston, since most of the stores have U.S. Pharm.D. students. How about outside Dallas, towards Frisco, tyler, cedar hill etc.??

I have already passed NAPLEX and TX-MPJE (it is required for a foreign graduate before itnernship in Texas) and even after that, there are no offers or internships available even ~100miles from where I live. Everyday, I call several pharmacies and then talk to the distric supervisors and they right away say, "no internships...sorry".:mad::(

Hey patito, what happens if you cannot complete the 1500hrs before the 1year requirement? can you never get the chance to complete the internship OR do you have to start over?? That ISSSSSS scary.:mad: Hey fafy, do you know anything like that about texas board??

I was told by one of the district supervisors/recruiter that due to the economic crisis almost all of the pharmacies are freezing training, since they have to pay close to 3/4th of pharmacist salary to foreign graduates. Might get better in 6months...but that is just an estimate. The economy is getting to us:( If you badly want then, Alaska or some other remote areas are still taking interns.

Man.....my next move was to try in Dallas! I lived there before and couple of years ago one of my friends had at least 3 different pharmacies asking her to join them after she passed her NAPLEX and MPJE??? why has the situation turned like this?? I also have the "green card"

I am a Foreign Graduate and have passed NAPLEX, TX-MPJE and am FPGEE certified. I had applied for internship in Walgreens, CVS, Walmart and Kroger. I spoke with the specific district supervisors/person-in-charge of foreign pharmacist training. however I was told that there are NO internship positions available at all in any of them. Nowhere from Houston to Galveston. I just cannot beleive it??? Can anybody recommend internship availabilty from Houston to Galveston?? Please help:(
