  1. Hi, Harbinger: I expect that I would get at least 28. When I plan to take the second test I expect to improve 2-3 score in each item. I did improve 3 in listening part which is not easy to me. I got 1 lower than the first time in reading part because the reading part is much harder than that of the first test. I cannot complain about it. The structure part is what I should do best.
  2. Sounds like a lot of fun here. This is a world which makes me smile. :):):) Vaya & Erin: Thanks a lot! Mentioning about structure part, I was really puzzled. I did carefully in my first test, but I ran out of time with two questions left.I finally got 27; so I tried my best to run quickly in the second test, I had more than two minutes left after I finished.I finally got 26. This part made me really disappointed.:(:(:( I hope other guys take my lesson, and try to control time better. Rosie
  3. Atnoon and Verhor: Thanks for your kind words and good advice. I will keep going back here and practicing more with your guys. I feel so warm with your friendship. Hope you come true your dreams soon! Rosie:p
  4. When I see all of your guys made good scores in TOEFL test, I wonder whether I should say something here. But, I want to say "Thanks" to your guys. especially Erin, you are so patient!:) I took my TOEFL test last week ( Aug.28), which is my second time. Although I worked very hard, I still did it badly. :( Comparing to my first time, I only improved three points in total scores. I finally understood that my English is still very poor even though I have lived in North America for more than one year, The longer I live here, the stronger feeling I have that it is so important for me to improve English either for studies or for working.I might not to take TOEFL test again, but I like to improve my English with your guys.If anybody has any opinion about how to improve it, please let me know. I'll appreciate it very much.:p Best wish to this website and good luck to all of you!:)

  9. #25: It has recently been announced that a large shopping center may be built in your neighborhood. Do you support or oppose this plan? Why? Use specific reasons and details to support your answer. There would be both advantages and disadvantages to having a new shopping center in our neighborhood. I am worrying about traffic and how it will affect our neighborhood. But, I think that it will provide us convenience and bring us some job opportunities. A new shopping center near our neighborhood would most likely cause traffic congestion. Our streets are narrow, with parking on both sides. More cars traveling through our neighborhood could cause a lot of congestion. Traffic means parking problems too. At present, we often have traffic jams in rush hours. If we have a new shopping center near our homes, it will be from bad to worse. However, if there is a new shopping center near our neighborhood, it would easier for residents of our community to go shopping. We now have to drive half an hour to go shopping. Every week we have to spend two hours for shopping, one hour is wasted on the road to go and back. It is very inconvenient for us to get something in sudden needs. With a new shopping center close to our home, we would get everything easily. Finally, having a new shopping center would bring some job opportunities and neighborhood businesses. The jobs would be cashier or food carriers in the shopping center. Also, we could have some neighborhood businesses close to the center, such as a snack bar, a recreation club and a coffee shop. People could drink a cup of coffee, play some games and have some snack after shopping. There are a lot of details to consider, but all in all, I support the idea of this new shopping center in our neighborhood.
