Hello Everyone, its been a while that I looged into my account here, and hence new for most people. Anyways, i am a grad student at OSU and now a days looking for some data sets to use for my perosnal research in the area of resource management or environmental studies. I am having hard time finding any interesting data sets. So, if anyonw here knows of any data set resources, I request him to help me out. Regards P.S: I dont know whether I should be posting it here or somewhere else. I request mods not to remove my post as I am in need of some advise.

I requested my scholarship foundation to extend the deadline till April 15, but they extended it only till April 6th. They said they had to get done some paper work in order i accept the offer. I dont know why they need 10 days to simply accept an offer. Do u guys suggest that I make my decision around April 15???

I havent made up my mind about the specific area of interest, but i know that i wont go for Agri or Labor specializations, which are kinda old. I have thought of doing Enviro or Resource, but my mind may change depending on the future career path offered by these fields. I want to work with with WB/IMF or any other reputable research organization as research analyst / project manger. And i dont want to go for teaching full-time. Can anyone compare the OSU and UMN for Enviro and Resouce ARE PhD for me, coz i am novice at this myself?

to be honest, i havent made up my mind about the sub-field. But i think i will go for something new. Anyways, is OSU really better than UMN? coz UMN is really where i wanna hear from before i make my final choice...

i dont think so, but i dont want to risk the funding due to a silly thing. Btw what i am really waitng for is UMN decision. Do u guys think UMN is better than OSU???

Does the APril 15 rule holds for un-funded offers as well???
