I was thinking of you today when I saw the headlines...

Ehh...Once I get done with everything on Friday, I am taking the weekend off. Monday I start cranking on my final paper and a few other odds and ends so I can graduate in August. :crazy: No rest for the weary!

No swine flu, but I am looking forward to some brown bottle flu on Saturday!

Good luck! I'd def. call the department...at least at my school the grad school can move VERY slow and assistantship notifications come through them. Also, there was a meeting on Friday that looked suspiciously like the admissions folks...I heard a rumor they made some $$$ decisions :D

Do you already have an UG degree? If so, you can go straight to a masters and take the extra math/stats on the side. Its what I did...plus I got an RA job at my school, so picked up the research experience along the way as well.

This topic has been discussed many times...Try searching for some of the threads. There isn't an age limit. Its illegal to discriminate on age. Most students get their PhD earlier than later b/c its easier than quitting your job when you have a family and a mortgage and trying to live on less than the poverty level of income. That being said, there are a number of candidates roaming around on the boards that are over 30, some even have families.

I think your UNLV paperwork comes from the grad college...It would probably be faster to call the department and ask what's up. I was hoping you would hear from NCSU soon too. Seems like a nice place.

Yes, but it smells awful...If they really wanted to recruit they would go to Grant's farm and hang out with the baby clydesdales...they're awesome and you get free beer.
