Clear: Forest, Clap: Thunder, Bow: Viola
spacepure replied to spacepure's topic in GRE Analogies and Antonyms
I am confused with the bridge between clear and forest. Does clearing the forest means felling the trees? or just means that make the forest more clean and tidy? -
I construe corroborate as confirm, that is, of more certainty. The one should provide more evidence so as to corroborate his claims or declarations. For example, another independent valid experiment will corrborate a certain theory. However, deny means not admit, more subjectly. The action that we deny something is not so out of proof or reasoning, as out of our interest, preference, experience? Thus, I believe that undermine as antonym of corroborate more reasonalbe and logical..

BB test 14 >> Antonym of pine?
spacepure replied to theatlantis's topic in GRE Analogies and Antonyms
Choice B would be correct. Pine here means to wither or waste away from longing or grief. -
However, To the second question, why doesn't the choice A, homogenuous: population, make sense? The homogenuous population means the same species biologically..
